I voted for one, but I prefer healthcare & academia theme more than the others.
Ummm... What about FFs?
Like not 5 ffs in one waala, but ONE FF with word count greater thank 18k or maybe even 30k(hence 100 pages)?
I know there are people who just read ffs, but this will kinda give FF readers some validation🙈 and it's a show/movie of their choice (you can set rules like no RPFs) so it's not much of a headache to search for themed book(s) and higher word count limit (like I said above) means that they are reading a story that would be validated as an actual book (according to your parameters)
You can like totally ignore me(even though m making a public post)😅
I honestly love the secret santa idea too, would be great for dec, just that like you said, we are already doing something like that so it can wait.
Also also, a book surrounding cliche trope or a book in a series or interconnected series like the bridgeton and the damayanti biswas and banglore detective club.
I dont want any theme, but still voted for academia
I was hoping to take a little break from theme reading but if we're going with a theme for September , my vote would be for Romantasy/ Fantasy or Paranormal theme
Yeah FFs are a good option - the problem is (for me, personally) I end up DNFing FFs (especially the long ones) a LOT cos either they drag too much or the plot goes too awry for my taste. I realize this is just my problem though, so if most people are on board, we can do this.Originally posted by: oh_nakhrewaali

What about ppl who don't read FF at all 🙈
I vote for Academa for Sept. Sept means back to school month to me
For Oct, I’d say Paranormal/Romantasy/Fantasy theme as there is Halloween
For Nov, I’d say choose books based on the specific or range of colors on the front cover.
For Dec, Secret Santa is the best.
From this list, fantasy is my favourite and I'd really love if we could have a month based on that theme
I also like TV/movie adaptations as a theme bcz it offers the most versatility across genres (contemporary, historical, mythology, horror, thrillers, fantasy, sci-fi, classics etc)
I would also like to see a mythology themed month sometime. We can also include folktales and fairytale retellings in that category, I already know I'd love that month sm 😍😍
We could also have more whimsical themes like One word Titles, Two word titles, Books with ___ colour in the cover, Set in a Place which has one of the seven wonders of the world, Child protagonist, Features a Kidnapping etc.
