I'm utterly confused as you are as to why Raja &co did not seize the golden opportunity of what was offered to them on a platter. By getting married to Shalu after the fiasco and blame game would have made Raja a true hero in everyones eyes. Instead the sly fox that he is decides to take the route contrary to our expectations and what is more his mother seems to gloat over his decision.

I think you guys pretty much summed it up. Raja has a larger motive in mind. Him backing away after the fourth phera is to make the Tripathi's so vulnerable and desperate that they agree to all of his conditions; money, property, and for Viplav to represent the Awasthi's in court. I'm afraid Shalu is going to end up getting married to this creep.

ITA. Raja's motive is to see Dhani destroyed, and we know that he will go to any extent to ensure that this happens.

What do you all think?

• Now Viplov will be emotionally blackmailed through all these people (Not to be Lawyer for her ) .
  
• Viplov will be there for dhaani at the end moment.
  
• RA family will malign Dhaani and her dignity . - This is where - , their hidden marraige might come out with emotions .
