I won't talk about your take on Karna but I would definitely agree with whatever you said about Yudhishtir.Yes,he did many wrongs but no one raises a point. As for looking at Draupadi in Kunti's hut Even if Arjun looked at her with desire it is acceptable.as she is his wife. But the other four ...I cant convince myself connecting it to Draupadi's previous birth.Thats all I want to say.

Hello. Thank you kindly for the reply.

Draupadi's previous birth stories are all fictitious stories made up by people who want to conveniently explain why Draupadi had to marry 5. Nothing makes me more angry. 😡😡

I don't believe a word of it. Especially the one where she asked 5 times for marriage. Superstitious nonsense.

Feel free to discuss Karn, I don't bite.

On topic, I don't much care who slung which arrow or who hit which target. Raise the dialogue to the level of ideas. Which male suitor had the values and principles to match up to Draupadi's? IS anyone going to raise their hand and say Karn? Duryodhan? Dussasan? Let's throw Kichak in there too. No. The only person who has 1:1 mapping with Draupadi is Arjun. QED.

Actually it's Lord Krishna first or so I feel.
Then maybe Arjun... 😳

Couldn't help but notice...
Am I seeing it clearly or your dp does contain a cream with a Draupadi's name on it?
Draupadi's moisture surge... 😕

EmolientGandiv Nice hearing some one hold the same fire regarding Arjun Draupadi,I mean liking.Yes. I too feel Draupadi is manipulated into marrying five.I can't imagine her mental state when she is driven into that polyandry.Like you I give a damn for the previous birth stories.Yes,Her wavelength matches only with Arjun. The fact that they have to wait twelve years to be with each other burns my heart.Thats it. I know I will be criticised for my ArDi obsession but I can't help it.

Views of revered Scholars like Pransu Saxena,Ramnarayan,Champasrinivas,Indrajit Bandhopadhyas finds place so frequently and enthrall the readers. This site is highly Educative,Analytical and informative.I learnt so much by interacting with the Admins of the Site. Ofcourse it is not meant for staunch admirers of Karna as it exposes his minuses and fights against those who degrade Arjun. So that's it.

Thanks for the information Lakshmi...
I have personally interacted with Pranshu Saxena and Champa Srinivas n have been delighted at their knowledge...
Especially Champa whose thought-provoking posts had left me awed...
I'll try to visit this page...

By the way...my name is Amrita...😊

@emollientgandiv - Hi there.😊 I do not think there is something for me to either agree or disagree. Since you seem to keep your "Gandeev" above all, this is going to be a fact. Padavas were worse but they beautifully covered it up with a glossy fake goodness. Most people do not want to think at all. They are happy if others get it done on their behalf too.😆 So they accept whatever they are told. Otherwise they should sit and read the book. But who cares? We are addicted to spoonfeeding. That's all. It was very difficult for me when I realised Karna was actually opposite to what I had known since childhood. Difficult more was when I saw Krishna was just a racist. But a fact is a fact. I cannot change. So had to accept. I donno how many will be ready to look beyond what we are taught and told. What I have observed while discussions is that most people already have a set of preconceived notions of MB and its characters, from the stories they have heard, from the traditions, from the parents etc etc... and what they do even when they get to read the original book is they try to discover their ideas in Vyasa Bharata which is like trying to draw pictures in running water. All Godly characters are earthly. All evil characters are also. They are more or less the same. So naturally such readers will be disappointed and they will try the maximum to support their favourites, making the evil ones more evil in turn. The best way to make a small line look bigger is to draw a still smaller line by its side. That is what everybody do.
Did I really point out any flaw of Pandavas? Are they not self-evident?😉 Like Karna's innocence in the usual aarops on him? I am not saying he was as white as snow. But at least there are some references in the book itself to prove that this guy was not like what people think. The book is here. The facts are also here. Any daring one who wants can read and understand.

I accurately followed all the discussions that happened in this regard in Star Plus Factually Incorect Mahabharat where scholars like Pransu Saxena,Ramnarayan and others participated and discussed that what is the fact actually. They gave references from many versions. As for CE I consider it highly authentic as got the opportunity to go to Pune and work for my project on MBH. I firmly believe the version given in CE. As for posting this in SPK site I don't think I may do it as I decided not to watch SPK at all after the swayamvar Episode. As for my credentials in understanding Sanskrit I am a post graduate in Sanskrit and English with a PHD degree awarded for my Thesis On Arjun. Thank you .

Hello Miss PHD. I have been wanting to ask this to you with bated breath, well could you please provide proof of your PhD degree because it is little difficult to beleive that one had been awarded for PHD on Arjuna will have such little knowledge of him to only concentrate on his "amar prem" with Draupadi and be so shallow as to write post after post about the great "ARDI" when Arjun is an individual who had much more to his life than Draupadi and her so called greatness.

My handle refers to Draupadi and not Arjun (moisturizedgandiv was too long). No, I'm not like your typical poster...and I do indeed see character flaws in Arjun. I don't play favorites either.

FWIW, I wrote my post to recognize your critique of the Pandavas and balanced perspective on Karn.

I don't know what 'aarops' means, nor do I understand what you mean by Krishn as a racist.

@emollientgandiv - I think you misunderstood my comment. It appears to me that you assumed my comment was about you. Sorry if that is not the case. You said "Point is this: people love to criticize Karn, which is perfectly reasonable, but why do so many let Pandavas off the hook, when they were worse??? IMO, Pandavas did a lot more bad things than Karn. They also did a lot of good, but one right does not wash away many wrongs. To what extent would you agree or disagree?". That is why I said I had nothing to agree or disagree with that as facts remain as they are. They do not care whether I agree or not. So I only stated what I came across till now as that only is what I knew. How can I say about another person without knowing? If I know, what is there is to say as we both know??? I had guessed something else as being referred by your handle, neither Draupadi nor Arjuna. But now I forgot what it was. Senile dementia at such a young age.😆
