SUSHANT Out, ARJUN In for Half Girlfriend

After speculations went rife that Kriti Sanon has been roped in for Mohit Suri's adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel Half Girlfriend, the news has flashed that the lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput has walked out of the project. Sushant has opted out of the film because of prior commitments. Now, the rumours are rife that Arjun Kapoor is under consideration for the role.

Sushant has been quoted as saying, "It's unfortunate. I was excited about working with Ekta (Kapoor) again but the dates didn't work out. The team wanted the same dates as that of Dinu's (Dinesh Vijan) film, which I'm doing next. Since I had committed dates for it long ago, I didn't have an option but to pull out of Mohit's project". The makers of the film are considering roping in Arjun Kapoor. If the deal is fixed, it would be Arjun's second film being an adaptation of Chetan Bhagat's novel. He has previously worked in 2 States.
