Karthik can't possibly think of loving her, and you're not supposed to miss someone when they've hurt you that badly (doofus, that's why it hurt so badly) so the only solution is revenge by bringing her back to you. (I'm sorry, but I don't get your logic, mate)

He loved Survi in his own way. It was not that romantic wala love but something much moree pure. Her leaving him like that scarred him because she meant so much too him. Revenge to aik bahana hai, he cannot hurt Survi even if he wants too. He will never be able to see her in pain.
