Always old seems gold. Before Dolare, there was never a dance show off to compare with. If there was something like that between Waheeda Rehman-Vaijayanti Mala, Hema-Rekha and Sri-Madhuri, Dola Re would have been trashed too.
Despite many people's claim that Aish is a trained dancer, it is difficult to believe that in Dola Re. (Unlike Vaijayantimala, Hemamalini and Madhuri, she never seemed to persue her habit. It makes me wonder, she just did some crash course in dance for name sake to put it in her CV during Ms.India competition). Her steps looked like jumping and hopping. Her posture of "Pehen Ke Mei Payal" while standing and bending, does not look like a dancer's posture at all. People who say Bharat Natyam is stiff should watch "Aplam Chuplum".PC and Deepika may not have got trained in classical dance. But I find both of them better than Aish in dancing and fitter than Madhuri. (I am aware, it was post motherhood for Madhuri. I am just saying about visual appeal of the dance).
