Being Inhumane? PRDP ticket prices will shock Salman Khan fans

The makers of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo have a good reason to rejoice this festive season. Their movie is the only big release this Diwali and online ticket sales, which opened five days in advance on Sunday, November 8, are almost sold out for every show on the day of its release.

If anyone rejoices more during a festive season, then it has to be definitely the movie makers and the multiplex owners. Time and again it has been observed that, the movies which are released during the festive time are priced higher than the normal rates. Maybe the reason being that, people are in the mood to splurge their money and enjoy some quality family time. And if your movie holds some good star power, then it's like another feather in your hat. Your box officecollections are simultaneously doubled with just one added factor.

We have been following a trend for the ticket sales of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, whose advance booking started almost five days in advance. A look at the online ticket book app, Book My Showwill tell you that, the tickets are priced at exorbitant rates and yes people are willingly buying it. These rates are the first day booking rates for a night show. But even the day shows are charged at Rs 350 for day one of the release.

While that's the rate for night shows, day shows tickets are priced at Rs 350.

Salman Khan has been going out of his way to promote the movie as much as he can. The film's title track has gained tremendous momentum in B-town and on social media. Is the film in for a record-breaking first weekend?

Having a glance at the past, we noticed that, last year's Diwali release ,Happy New Year, also opened to same rates.

Reports from imdb.com suggest that, Happy New Year released with the highest pre-booking in Bollywood ever of a whooping 45cr rupees. The reason was maybe Farah and Shah Rukh were coming together after their fall out. The response for the SRK movie was so high that almost 80% of the movie's tickets were sold one day in advance in smaller cities like Agra, leave aside the metro cities like Banglore, Mumbai and NCR.

Going a bit ahead in the past, 2013 Diwali release, Krishh 3 opened to greater response than Chennai Express which released in the same year. During Chennai Express, the ticket sales were already hiked by 40% than the normal ones. With Krissh 3, the prices were touching the sky.

I m too excited for prdp..but can't hide my sadness.
if ticket prices r in the hands of cinema halls y was Aamir blamed for Prices of PK tickets? Even there people were buying them by their own will..even twice thrice..y was PK's collection attributed to high prices rather than being a good movie with good actors and directors?
Y the double standards

Ticket price hikes ke liye no one should be blamed...jiski prices badhane ki aukaat hogi...wahi toh badhayega...aapko movie dekhni hai toh dekho...warna apni dukaan aage badhao...😆😆
