Heya peeps! Sorry for the delay in KOL, I am busy with work but here is the OS from the Kehna Hi Kya Competition thread. I had originally planned something but seeing it was getting way too long, I decided to cut it short for the competition. Here I am posting the uncut version 😉 Enjoy and do comment if you missed commenting on the thread 😃

The glow of the crimson sky reflected upon the perfectly white walls of the kitchen. Early morning rays of the sun highlighted tiny beads of water on flowers hanging from a small flowerpot in the corner. Each drop sat so lightly yet close enough to cause the bloom to bow towards the earth as though offering prayers to the early morning sun. Soon gentle heat of the morning would evaporate them back and the flower will raise her head attracting the buzzing bumblebees. The cold and calm morning held no cars on the rain coated street. Only sounds that sung the glory of the morning were a variety of birds from the nearby trees. There was always something about dawn that makes each new day such a gift as it unwraps the world anew.

She stood whistling a random tune as she chopped tomatoes. Having finished chopping tomatoes into perfectly small pieces, she threw them into the frying pan causing a hissing sound. She was about to sprinkle salt into the mixture when she heard some rush behind her.
"Bhabhi! Bhabhi!" a tiny frame came running into a neatly designed open kitchen. Coming to stand next to the woman busily cooking, she continued to scream with excitement, "Bhabhi, happy," but before she could complete she was forcefully hushed to keep quiet.
"Ananya!" the other woman admonished, "tumhe pata hai na, he needs to wish first."
"But Geet bhabhi, I even prepared a song for you guys," Ananya said slumping her shoulders.
"Toh kya hua, tu zaroor ga lena magar after he wishes," Geet smiled accentuating her dimples.
Geet continued to stir the contents when her sister interrupted, "this is not fair bhabhi, aapne kaha ki aap mujhe special treat denge agar mujhe aaj ka din yaad rahega toh." Her tone held a hint of annoyance and irritation.
"Ole mela baby naraaz mat hona," Geet spoke in baby voice holding Ananya's chin. "Tumhe double treat doongi magar sirf usse pehle wish karna hoga."
"Teekhai main veerji ko jaake keh doongi," Ananya shrugged her shoulders before turning to leave the kitchen.
"Tum kuch nahi kahogi," Geet warned waving the spatula she was using to cook.
Ananya was about to reply when they heard another deep voice entering the kitchen.
"Kya nahi kahoge?" he asked walking to stand behind Geet.
"That's for me to know and for you to find out," Geet piqued in promptly.
"Uffo jaan at least aaj yeh games mat khelo na," Maan said winding his arms around her waist while placing his chin on her shoulder.
"Kyun? Aaj kuch khaas hai?" she pretended although her insides jumped with joy.
"Haan aaj bahut special hai," he smiled with a dreamy look. "Aaj Madonna ki birthday hai."
"Kya?!" Geet screamed as she momentarily stopped stirring the contents in the pan.
"Haan aaj Madonna ki birthday hai." He stated casually shrugging his shoulders causing his sister to guffaw.
"Really Maan?" Geet asked gritting her teeth.
"Haan kyun? Aaj kuch aur special hai kya?" he asked looking lost.
"Arre nahi nahi Madonna se bad kar kya ho sakta, kyun Ananya?" Banging the lid shut over the pot before rushing to the sink.
By then Ananya was cackling loudly. "Veerji, I'll prepare your obituary," she managed to say while patting his shoulder sympathetically. "Agar aapko last wishes kuch hain toh zaroor bata deejiyega, I'll promise to fulfill them."
"Arre isse kya hua?" he asked watching Ananya walk out. He perched himself on the counter before grabbing an apple off the fruit basket.
"Usse kya hoga. Main hi pagal hoon," Geet spat as she vigorously mixed dough with some boiled potatoes. It looked like she was strangling someone as she crushed the potatoes to blend with the dough. "Agar aapka kaam ho gaya, please get out of the kitchen, mujhe bahut kaam hai." Her back faced him as she worked around the kitchen, cursing his insensitiveness.
"Naraaz kyun ho rahi ho jaan, toda pyaar se kaho na," he said taking a bite from the apple.
"Get out you insensitive jerk!" she breathed fire and threw a lemon she was about to slice. "Aap sach mein dust danav ho!"
He smoothly caught the lemon hurled at him before jumping off the counter. "Aaj dragon queen phirse jaag uthi hai, sambhalkar beta," he murmured to himself. "Dust hoon magar tumhara dust hoon, nahi?" he said with a nervous smile.
"Nahi!" she hissed, "jaayiye shaayad aapki Madonna wait kar rahi hogi."
"Teekhai teekhai main jaa raha hoon, naraz mat ho," he said kissing her forehead and walking out of the kitchen.
Geet watched him walk out without a backward glance. "Chale gaye?" she asked incredulously. "Ek baar bhi manane ki koshish bhi nahi ki," she huffed. "Geet, tu na bahut lenient ho gayi, ek ya do din couch mein soyenge na, phir usse akal ayenge."
"Vaise Geet," she heard him walk back in few seconds later. "Main na idiot hoon, I completely forgot something," he said slapping his forehead in regret.
"Finally!" Geet threw her hands up in the air sighing in relief. "Kahiye," she said looking expectantly.
"I forgot to have my breakfast!" he said as if that was the most important thing to do.
"Haan haan kyun nahi. Maine isi keliye shaadi ki taaki main aapko roz breakfast, lunch, and dinner khilaaun. Nai?" her tone was sickly sugary while her eyes mocked him as though she was challenging him. He was about to answer when she screamed, "Out! Aaj no food for you! And don't even try to get it through Ananya because I ain't cooking for anyone today!"
"Chal beta varna teri laash bhi nahi milne wali," he muttered before giving a cheeky smile and dashing out.
For the next hour all that could be heard from the kitchen were random Punjabi curses followed by clanking of vessels and thumping of Geet's feet.
Wiping her hands, she threw the towel on the couch and walked around to switch on the radio. Her favorite morning show with RJ Preeti would start in few minutes. She definitely needed her morning dose of calmness after all that irritation since morning. Maan had quietly left for office knowing it wasn't good to mess with her when she was angry. But she had expected he would come back to at least coax her but he had silently left without a word. The guts of that man! She thought angrily plopping herself on the couch. I ain't talking to him, she decided, forever!
Angry tears made ran down her cheeks as she fumbled to switch on the radio. Wiping them away she finally managed to switch the radio on and tune in to her favorite FM station.
"Namashkar, sat sri akal, adaab, kahiye kitne khush hain aaj?" She heard the chirpy RJ welcome everyone to her morning show.
Geet twisted her lips in annoyance. Happy? She wasn't even close to the H' of happy.
"What a bright sunny day! Aaj mausam hai suhaana, long drive jaane ka bahana," she sang hoarsely and followed it with her giggles. "So grab your favorite person, switch on to my show and get riding people!"
"Hmph!" Geet sighed in disapproval. "Long drive pe jaayega meri jutti!"
"Aaj hum kuch different karenge. Aaj hum sunenge Love ka the Beginning'. So concept bahut simple hai, jo bhi call karenge, usse apna love story ka shuruvaad kahan aur kaise hua batana hoga. So all the Romeos and Juiliets out there get to your phone and get dialing!" The RJ finished telling about the day's program much to Geet's annoyance.
"Hmph!" Geet sighed in disapproval. "Yeh RJ din ba din pagal hoti jaa rahi hai," she blamed the RJ who until few minutes ago was her favorite. She was about to switch off the radio when Ananya held her hand.
"Arre bhabhi chodiye na. Who cares about the callers, she has the best playlist, let's listen to that na." Ananya interrupted. Before Geet could protest, they heard the RJ speak to the show's first caller.
"Ah the first caller!" Preeti piqued, "Hello and welcome to Love ka the Beginning with RJ Preeti."
"Hi Preeti, vaise I have to tell you that you are my wife's favorite RJ," a very familiar masculine voice greeted much to Geet's surprise.
"Oh thank you so much ji. Your wife's favorite magar aapka nahi?" Preeti joked.
"Wife ki pasand matlab, meri bhi hui na?" his deep tone echoed through the speaker.
"Flirt kahin ke!" Geet said shaking her head at her husband's charming ways.
"So batayiye what song would you like me to play and why?" the RJ continued.
"Aaj bahut special din hai mere liye. Three years ago on this same date my darling wife finally confessed her love for me," he gushed.
"Wow how romantic! It's been three years and you still remember the date?" Preeti asked surprised.
Geet stilled listening to Maan mentioning their special day. She had been mad since morning that he didn't remember today. She had expected he wish her first thing in the morning but here he was declaring it for the world. Maan had always been a very private guy. He was a man of few words and refrained from publically voicing out his love for his family. Having achieved great success in his construction business, he was always under media scrutiny about his personal and professional life. And thanks to his best friend, Kabir Sharma, editor in chief of a leading new channel, he had always managed to evade public scrutiny from his private life. But here he had come out to wish her through the radio for everyone to hear. Did her love mean so much to him that he had gone publically to acknowledge it? She would always playfully mention that he was afraid to publically profess his love and here he had come to wish her as the whole city listened to his confession. Tears threatened to fall as she heard him continue without any hesitation.
"Of course! It will always remain the best day of my life," he smiled fondly recollecting those precious moments.
Maan Singh Khurana would never forget a moment associated with his precious Mishty. It had been love at first sight for him when he went to meet her in her office. Her dimpled smile and expressive eyes had enraptured him. And at that moment his heart had been taken.
He knew she was irked since morning that he hadn't yet wished her like he did every year. But this year he wanted to make it even more special. He wanted to share his joy with the world and decided to announce it through her favorite morning show. He was sure she would be cursing him with colorful Punjabi and Hindi curses but the smile on her face when she would listen to this was worth the wait.
"That's so sweet," Preeti awed at such a caring and thoughtful gesture. "Aur kya gaana play karna hai?"
"Kehna hi kya from the movie Bombay. Yeh meri Mishty ka favorite gaana hai," he replied promptly bringing a smile on Geet's face.
"Vaise aapne apna naam nahi bataya," Preeti prompted.
"Her dust danav patidev." He signed off while Preeti laughed.
"So my dear Dust Danav ke Mishty, here is a very sweet song requested by your patidev. Enjoy and once again wish you a happy anniversary!" With that the RJ began to play the music.

Soft music filled the hall as the RJ began the song. Geet sighed in contentment as beautiful memories of the day filled her senses.
Gumsum Gumsum Gupchup Gumsum Gupuchup
Gumsum Gumsum Gupchup Gumsum Gupuchup
Gumsum Gumsum Gupchup Gumsum Gupuchup
Cool wind washed her face as she walked through the large French doors towards less used side of the outhouse. She wasn't too familiar with the way through those hallways but was determined to get through what seemed like a maze. She had to apologize.
Geet Sharma had always made sure she never had to apologize or feel shameful in front of anyone. Growing up, she took great pains in excelling everything she did be it little or big. She always wanted to see the spark of pride in her daddy's eyes and thus had made sure she perfect every single thing she did. Her family owned international trading business and there was no need for her to work but she followed her dreams of owning her own interior designing and architecture business. Her parents had always encouraged the best in her while her brother completely supported her. Her latest venture had called for her to work with one of the most respected construction firms in India and worldwide, Khurana Constructions. She had been extremely thrilled to know that she would be collaborating with them for her new project. The MD of that firm had personally come to meet her and was impressed with her ideas and inputs. And for the first time Geet blushed. She had met many men, young, handsome, tall and yet there was something endearing about him that pulled her towards him.
She had come to realize he was completely opposite of the way papers described him: ruthless, egoistic, downright cold-blooded. In fact he was one of the most caring and softhearted man after her daddy and Kabir bhaiyya. He had a close-knit family that consisted of his little sister Ananya and his Daadima and he left no stone unturned to keep them happy. And she didn't know when she had fallen hard for him.
Hulchul Hulchul Ho Gayi Teri Honth Hai Kyon Chup
Hulchul Hulchul Ho Gayi Teri Baithe Hain Gupchup
Pyaare Pyaare Chehre Ne Karte Hain Ishaara
Dekha Teri Aankhon Ne Hai Sapna Koi Pyaara
Humse Gori Na Tu Sharma Kehde Humse Zara
Humse Gori Na Tu Sharma Kehde Humse Zara
Geet was uncertain how he would take her love for him. She was scared he might reject her or worse think she was like any other girl trying to impress him for his money and fame. But her dear Babaji seemed to have other plans.
The project they were collaborating together was a huge success. The clients were coming in for the last look before concluding the work. Their client, Mr. Mehta had urgent work and had sent his daughter to oversee the final details. His daughter Richa had arrived at Khurana constructions and had requested for a private meeting with Maan before meeting with everyone. This hadn't gone well with Geet. Her jealousy took the better of her seeing Maan go out of his way to accommodate her. She had tried her best interrupting the meeting but nothing seemed to work. Finally she had succumbed to possessiveness over Maan and insulted Richa in front of everyone much to everyone's surprise before running back home.
Kehna Hi Kya Ye Nein Ek Anjaan Se Jo Mile
Chalne Lage Mohabbat Ke Jaise Ye Silsile
Armaan Naye Aise Dil Mein Khile
Jinko Kabhi Main Na Jaanoon
Vo Humse Hum Unse Kabhi Na Mile
Kaise Mile Dil Na Jaanoon
Ab Kya Karein Kya Naam Lein
Kaise Unhein Main Pukaroon
Rushing home she had locked herself in the room and allowed no one inside. She felt ashamed of her actions. She wasn't someone who would insult others even if they were wrong. And here she had blatantly insulted her in front of everyone. Her dad and brother came rushing home hearing the news but she refused to speak to any of them.
Finally after hours of crying and brooding, she decided she would apologize to Maan for her irrational behavior before apologizing to Richa. She rushed out of the house dodging her parents and brother. She wouldn't be able to face the shame on her father's eyes for her behavior and decided to fix things before she could explain to her family.
Kehna Hi Kya Ye Nein Ek Anjaan Se Jo Mile
Chalne Lage Mohabbat Ke Jaise Ye Silsile
Armaan Naye Aise Dil Mein Khile
Jinko Kabhi Main Na Jaanoon
Vo Humse Hum Unse Kabhi Na Mile
Kaise Mile Dil Na Jaanoon
Ab Kya Karein Kya Naam Lein
Kaise Unhein Main Pukaroon
She didn't care that she looked like a mess in her baby pink Patiala dress. Her hair flew out as she drove towards Maan's place. Her neatly plaited hair now vaguely resembled was a fractious mess of tangles and any clips that had once held them in place were long gone. Her face with its russet cheeks were crumpled like an over stored apple while her irises were threaded with scarlet.
Hurrying through the double doors she came across a worried Daadima and tensed Ananya. Anxious the situation was out of hand, she ran towards them. Giving her a sorry look they had directed her to the outhouse.
Pehli Hi Nazar Mein Kuchh Hum Kuchh Tum
Ho Jaate Hain Yoon Gum
Neinon Se Barse Rimjhim Rimjhim
Humpe Pyaar Ka Saawan
Sharam Thodi Thodi Humko Aaye To Nazrein Jhuk Jaayein
Sitamb Thoda Thoda Humpe Shokh Hwaa Bhi Kar Jaayein
Aisi Chale Aanchal Uthay Dil Mein Ek Toofan Uthay
Hum To Lut Gaye Khade Hi Khade
The only sounds heard were the slight tinkling of her anklets as she walked along the cold stone ground. Soft curtains danced to the tune of the cool breeze whooshing through the hallways. She came to stand between pillars facing what seemed like an open space courtyard situated in the middle. Few curtains flew around blocking her view of the open space. Her fingers quivered and her heart rate doubled as she slightly pushed them apart and the object of her desire stood majestically in the center.
She saw his bare back glistening with sweat as he slowly extended his arms to his side. The only piece of clothing that covered him were a pair of loosely fitted yoga harem pants. He turned around slightly changing his Tai Chi pose making her aware of her presence. She gasped involuntarily watching his muscles twitch slightly with his slow and calculated movements. Any Greek God would fall short of this man that stood in front of her. His angled jaws were taut with tension as he was completely focused the way his body stood. A single trail of sweat trailed down his jaw, down his neck before disappearing down his well-toned abs.

She leaned on the pillar, her body suddenly limp, trying to inhale as much as oxygen as possible. It seemed like she had run a marathon and no amount of air in the house was sufficient. Her legs refused to move. She clutched the curtains more tightly as she turned slightly towards him. She again watched him, well hidden from his eyes, admiring the sun-kissed Grecian. His prominent jaw curved gracefully around and the strength of his neck showed in the twining cords of muscles that shaped his entire body. Part of her wished she could run towards him and kiss him senseless while the other very small part said she should get a hold of herself and apologize. She let out a shaky sigh while her anklets chimed while hitting the pillar.
"Kaun hai?" His voice boomed through the empty hallways as he slightly turned his head towards the source of the noise. She hurriedly shoved the curtain close suddenly not wanting to face him. She felt ashamed she was ogling at a man instead of walking up to him and apologizing. She turned hoping to silently escape the way she came in only for her earring to be caught between the curtains.
Kehna Hi Kya Ye Nein Ek Anjaan Se Jo Mile
Chalne Lage Mohabbat Ke Jaise Ye Silsile
Armaan Naye Aise Dil Mein Khile

Vo Humse Hum Unse Kabhi Na Mile

Her eyes widened in shock and her body stilled for a moment. She was afraid he would catch her red-handed ogling at him. She hastily tried to remove the earrings off the curtain only to realize it tangled more. Her breath hitched in fear as her hands fumbled trying to get the curtain off the earring. And finally she managed to pry the earring off before she rushed to the other side of the pillar.
Cool breeze gave way to sudden rushing of the winds through windows and doors of the outhouse. Maan turned around to see the source of the noise only to realize there was nobody. He scrunched his eyebrows in irritation wondering who dared to disturb his Tai Chi session. Looking around he tried to gauge the source of the sounds and waited with abated breath to see if there was any further noise. Having heard nothing, he walked a few steps towards the white curtains that furiously danced with the wind whooshing through. Pushing it aside he walked into the hallway trying to see where the noise came from.
Geet peeked slightly from behind the pillar when a strong scent of his cologne hit her nostrils. Her stomach clenched with desire as his exotic scent filled her senses. She carefully turned to see how close he had come only to realize he stood exactly at the same spot she stood two seconds ago. Clutching her duppatta tightly she dashed to the next nearest hiding spot from where she could make a clean exit. She couldn't stand to apologize to him anymore. She didn't know if she could control her sense and heart from overtaking while she tried to apologize. She took one last look at him before running to the other side of the hallway.
He now stood five feet away from her with his back facing her with only the sheer curtain separating them. Gulping away her last bits of courage she rushed to find the nearest exit.
In Honthon Na Maanga Sargam Sargam
Tu Aur Tera Hi Pyaar Hai
Aaj Dhoondhe Hai Jisko Hardam Hardam
Tu Aur Tera Hi Pyaar Hai
Mehfil Mein Bhi Tanha Hai Dil Aise Dil Aise
Tujhko Kho Na De Darrta Hai Ye Aise Ye Aise
Aaj Mili Aisi Khushi Jhoom Uthi Duniya Ye Meri
Tumko Paaya To Paayi Zindagi
Standing on the other end of the hallway, she turned to admire him one last time before going away. She saw him walk through the curtains, his eyes roaming around as though in desperate search of something. The urge to run into his arms seemed uncontrollable at that moment. Had he seen her? Would he figure out she had stealthily walked into his den only to run away like a coward? She hid behind another pillar as she saw him almost catch her standing before looking the other way.
He pushed away the curtain hearing a movement by the other side. He stared between the two pillars to see if he could find the source of this hide and seek game but found none. Sighing deeply he walked further hoping he would catch the person.
She looked between the pillars only to see he had disappeared. Her eyes frantically searched for him. Walking near the curtains she tried to look through the almost transparent cloth if she could get a glimpse of him. It seemed as though he was never there. She tiptoed down the hallway when suddenly she felt him walk behind her. Terrified, she moved to hide behind the curtains.
He walked towards the bench and picked up his black wife beater. Slipping it over his head and body, he once again began to walk down the hallway in search of that person.
Relieved she had managed to escape him, she walked towards the French doors when she suddenly felt someone catch her wrist before yanking her inside the open courtyard. His strong fingers clasped her wrist as he dragged her towards the center of the courtyard. And she was trapped!
He momentarily left her hands only to find her running away from him. He instantly caught her and forcefully twirled her towards him. His eyes spoke thousands expressions at a time. Mixed emotions of longing, anger, irritation and hurt danced in his eyes. She tried to wriggle her arms out of his strong grip only for him to tighten his hold on her. She finally gave up battling her urge to run away from him.

She saw him bring his hands up to towards her face that held something that belonged to her. The earring shined from the moonlight that streamed into the courtyard. Her eyes widened in shock. How did he find it? She was clearly caught now. There was no way she could make any excuses how. She expected him to say something but there were no words spoken. He leaned towards her ear and tucked her hair neatly behind. She let out a slight moan at the touch of his cold fingers around her ear. The act was so simple yet so sensual.
Holding her lobe, he pushed the tiny wire through the ear hole. She stood with her eyes closed. Her heartbeat rose rapidly as his hot breath fell on the sensitive spot on the neck. She let her senses overpower her, as she stood mute letting him do all the work.
He snapped the hook in place before adjusting her hair with the flick of his thumb. His lips were merely inches away from her cheek. Words seemed unnecessary as he stood absorbing her presence so close to him. He slowly slid his face back to see her reaction.
Kehna Hi Kya Ye Nein Ik Anjaan Se Jo Mile
Chalne Lage Mohabbat Ke Jaise Ye Silsile
Kehna Hi Kya.
"I love you Maan."
"I love you Maan!" she threw her arms over his neck as she tiptoed to slam her lips to his nearly knocking all the wind from his lungs. He hardly had a moment to react before she pressed her tongue to the seam of her lips and, at his grant of access, delved inside. It was a sloppy kiss pouring all her energy and love into it. Her arms reached up and tangled around his lush thick hair. She felt him pick her up as she arched up into his broad chest, moaning in pleasure as the heat of his body seeped through his neatly pressed shirt.
His hands circled around her hip and tightened to bring her as close as possible. He slanted her head, deepening the kiss. What seemed like hours before they stood panting, their foreheads touching each other. They had their eyes closed yet a beautiful smile adorned their lips.
God, she was irresistible! Her sweet honey-suckled lips never failed to spread warmth throughout his entire body. He knew she would be completely surprised with him wishing on radio. He loved to see the sheer look of awe and surprise as she ran into his cabin few moments ago ignoring the confused staff and clients. He was more than happy to indulge in her scandalous entry.
"Aapko yaad tha?" she whispered biting her lower lip.
"How could I forget it Geet?" he smiled fondly running his finger over her cheek.
"Toh pehle kyun nahi bataya? Itna sab kuch karne ki kya zaroorat thi?" she sniffed scrunching her nose.
"Yeh le," he sighed in mock hurt. "You keep saying main yeh sab nahi karta. Aur upar se I am always compared with the wonderful bhaiyya of yours. Voh aise karte hain vaise karte hain, kitne romantic hain etcetera etcetera."
"Voh toh hain," she giggled. "Did you see that gift he bought for Ananya? Hai!" she said getting starry-eyed.
"Oi hello I didn't do all this to hear praises of your brother. Saala bachpan se mera dushman tha voh," he scoffed turning away.
Geet smiled fondly at his child-like pout. She always loved riling him especially talking about her brother's romantic ways. "Oho ji," she smiled hugging him from behind. "What should I do to please my dusht danav patidev?"
She walked around to face him. He had a cute frown on his face. She held him gently, cupping her face with one hand. Tiptoeing she softly kissed the tender area at the base of his neck before working her way up to his lips. She drew back and spent a moment studying his face. Maan gazed at her lovingly, his eyes softening with tenderness before sparking with something else. He titled her head to the side and kissed her. There was no rush it was soft and slow. She felt a smoldering heat deep within her as Maan's grip tightened, crushing her body to his, gentle yet firm.
They stood embracing each other. "You made my day," she said finally catching her breath and looking at him. "Thank you."
"You made my life," he replied looking deeply into her eyes while tucking a lay strand of hair behind her ear. "Thank you."
