Is Deepika a MISCAST for the role of Mastani?

😉 Sometimes I feel Deepika doesn't have the grace or acting chops for a period character. Is she a MISCAST for the role? Who else could have done it from this generation? Perhaps Anuskha? Or even Sonam? 😲 Please share your thoughts.

DP is a miscast for any kinda role. Even if her acting is decent, her dialogue delivery sucks! She's also got a very heavy accent which is hard to ignore.

I personally would like to see Vidya or Sonakshi or even Kareena in a period film.

Anushka is a brilliant actress, but for some reason, finding it really hard to picture her in a period film.

No she is not miscast, but like any other actor, she can always strive to be better at what she does. There is always room for improvement!

she looks fine...Anju modi has dresed her well...but the jewellery could have been toned down..it is OTT.

Mastani was a dancer who was very beautiful and she knew martial skills like horse riding, spear throwing, swordplay.
Deepika is beautiful, is a great dancer, very tall and fit athletic shape.
Perfect choice.
