Wrap-Up of Reporters.....My Thoughts

For me this show has been a milestone in Indian TV. I have seen quite a few 'different' shows. They start off being different, then somewhere along the journey the originality is lost as it is sacrificed at the alter of TRPs. Not that this did not happen with Reporters...The first MU was a bit stretched but it was forgotten once the show came back on its track...

When Shreya created the second MU by divulging Kabir's involvement in SK's death and his hiding the truth from her and even not pursuing his quest for truth and justice, I like many others thought that this was turning into another run-of-the-mill show and began to question what its purpose could probably be...But as it unfolded I realised that the CVs had foreseen its implications very well...It was a much needed revelation to get back the original Kabir..the honest reporter, one who would do anything to unravel the truth and expose the wrong-doers, even at the cost of his life. I loved his lines yesterday when he said..."today I felt as elated and satisfied as I had done when I wrote my first article..." which I guess would have been the one on SK which Ananya always carried round her neck...

A very pleasing point I noted was that this show started with KKN and reporting and yesterday ended with another sansani khulasa...by this they maintained the essence of the title of their show...

And guys one more thing which pleasantly observed was that the show yesterday ended on an open note...assuming they don't show anything of RG and Shreya on Monday we definitely have some faint hope of a Season 2 coming up again...

I mean assuming KaYa marry (or even of they don't) they can always work together at KKN, reporting and exposing wrong-doers, and RG gets out and once again wants to avenge them...Shreya of course will definitely be put under psychiatric treatment...so she also comes back...then there will be dhamakas galore...Only one thing I personally would like a different actress playing Shreya next time...Can't put my finger on the reason but I did not care much for Ankita...would want a friendship bond developing between Tarini-Ananya, and Anurag-Ananya...Even Tarini could join KKN...Wow what ideas there can be for the show's next season...

I'm basing these ideas on an English show i/m absolutely crazy about called Castle...there also they have romantic involvements but the essence of the show is given priority...So also in Reporters we did have KaYa romance but the essence pf reporting was brought back after the declaration of love...

Even yesterday it ended on exposing RG and of course Shreya was a bonus thrown in for our benefit and to give KaYa time to romance and get married or whatever they want to do...

So for me Reporters did its final reporting yesterday and whatever they show on Monday will be a bonus for all KaYa fans and will hope and pray that we get a Season 2, and that too some time soon.

PS; will miss the show tremendously and will also miss not only KaYa but the whole cast of Reporters.

PPS: Will also miss all my friends on the forum. And to be honest this is the one forum I have visited religiously since I saw Episode 1 of the show. So with sadness in my heart I say adios to ll and a request to all story writers ...please keep writing on KaYa and to all who send me pms please keep doing so...

Till we meet again on Season 2 of Reporters or on some other forum.

The one and only show that I've watched fully and with intent. This show brought many of us together. I've never been a member of this Forum but was a silent reader. After I got fully involved in the show, I enrolled and started interacting with all you guys. I really enjoyed this stint. Yes, this show has been a milestone in Indian Television. A finite show with substance. Though there were moments after 100 episodes, when I felt let down, but looking at the greater picture, it was a fulfilling show. Each and every character has been so endearing. Barring RG and Shreya of course. Little overdose of them in the last few weeks was frustrating.

But all is well that ends well. Monday should see all happy faces in KKN. All jodis. Kabir & Ananya, Sunny & Baby, Shivani & Daljit singh (aka Ronnie). Sure Manav will get back to Malavika. And Khalid is a confirmed bachelor anyways. He will be a loving and doting father figure to all these members as his children apart from KKN. A loving family called KKN. It really fills the heart.

I really really want season 2 with all these casts and get back to the forum with all you guys. Its like a family now. Will miss you all. Becoming senti. Lets do our best to bring back Season2.

Pl tell me what should be our nest step to see Season 2.
