Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has surely struggled his way up but he is still quite straight forward with his choices. Nawaz may be sharing screen space with A-listers in his upcoming films, but when it comes to moralities, the actor still chooses to stick to his ethics and not give more important over commercial success.

It seems Nawaz was recently approached for a condom commercial and that the actor refused to endorse it. Even though the remuneration offered to him was quite huge, the actor without any hesitation, refused it citing religious reasons. He is currently seen in the commercials for the Truecaller app. Well, looks like a no is a no for Nawaz!

LOL...WTH?? Since when has working in a condom ad become IMMORAL??
India is supposed to be overtaking China by 2025 ...no not in economy...its POPULATION ...imagine...the one thing that people need right now is condoms and then some more condoms...

I applaud Ranveer for doing that ad...and the bigger the star the better the message gets across...

Very true. But I think in Nawaz's case, he may be uncomfortable doing the Ad. Personally I can't see him doing it. Ads are catered to the celebrity and his or her lifestyle. Ranveer is perfect for it.

I am fine with a person not doing it...its their choice...but atleast don't call the idea of doing a condom ad as immoral or unethical...we don't need this mentality ...

How dare they to not have 11 children and starve all of them to death than use a rubber. That is so against religion. Who does that. Its Gods blessing one should accept it with open arms not try to prevent it from happening.

WOW!!! So the "enlightened" wannabes here have a problem with people's choices now. Nowhere in the statement did i read that condoms are immoral HOWEVER the ads ARE immoral. Condom ads are not made as a public service announcement but as soft po*n hence the hesitance by someone who is too prudish to star in them. But then again i wouldn't expect people who are biased and think themselves on higher moral pedestal to understand that. 🥱

Sometimes morality is also about choosing not to do things one is not comfortable with. I see nothing wrong with the article or Nawaz's decision.

Anyway, this forum exists to over-scrutinize articles, i am not surprised.

Nice. People can't question someones choices but lets go ahead and insult someones opinion about the issue. I dnt know if it was specifically for me or not but anyways. I wasn't particularly questioning his right to refuse the advertisement its just the religious reasoning was funny to me. Whenever we have asked someone their reasoning for having so many children when they have no money to feed them they always gave us this answer. Kya kar sakte hai madam Bhagwan ki marzi hai . 😆 I feel like banging my head somewhere. This is the thought process for millions in this country. They have no part in it but its Gods fault so lets not question it let it happen. He can go ahead and refuse projects without even citing reason, I won't really care much.

As far as condom ads being immoral, I disagree. not all condom ads are made by durex. Especially since he was approached for ad my idea was maybe the advertisement was something like this.

Where did he say it was IMMORAL? The writer choose to word it that way. What I got from the beginning bit was he rather just do movies than to worry about commercial success. He doesn't want it to go to his head.

His reason to say no was religion. Does that make him immoral?
I agree with Resident_Evil in the sense that condom ads are basically po*nos. They don't educate people about safe sex.
