I agree with Resident_Evil in the sense that condom ads are basically po*nos. They don't educate people about safe sex.

Did I say that...I am OK with him not doing the ad...but the idea that the AUTHOR has put up in the article that its somehow immoral or unethical to do a condom ad is not right...how was Ranveer's condom ad a po*n ad?? There is a way to do things...condom ads can be done in a classy way...and if not done properly then an ad for a shower product can look like po*n...its not right to diss a basic idea as immoral and unethical..

He set some boundaries and he is sticking to it, nobody has the right to question his choices. Idea behind the condom ad is very good but the way these ads are sometimes pictured is not everyone's cup of tea to do it and see it .

And anyway, condom ads in India needs to be more realistic - from a social awkwardness perspective. Condom ad or cologne ad - looks same.

Why not show something like - you don't have to feel shy for going n buying it on your own. There was one I think where they showed a guy going to medical store and asking for it. Everyone around him looked at him weirdly but still he stood there and bought it. Something like that.. which tries to remove this uneasiness for condoms would be so much more useful for our society where we do not talk about these things.

I do think condom ads are realistic. It actually depends more on which category of audience and consumers u r aiming at.

I remember one where the couple were romancing and heading to their house when the guy drops the condom packet and the girl goes like leave and come up but he chases downstairs to get the packet anyways. I thought it was a good message.

Another one was about this couple romancing all the way to their home and their mom opens the door implying they are married. I guess it was to promote condom usage in married couples. I barely remember this one though.

sticking to one's ethics dsnt make him narrow minded or anything...his words his choice...
however few condoms ads are more like sex encouragement...giving the feel nd all the sounds... dekhne wala condom bhool jayega nd excite ho jayega...
