Rain was pouring down heavily, she cursed her fate when her car broke in the middle of the road and top of that, her mobile is not working. She opened the door of car and stepped out of the car. With in some minutes Rain soaked her completely.
"What happened to you today, Tee? You weren't suppose to ditch me like this?" She talked to her car, in her sweet tone while glaring down at her car in displeasure. She looked around for some help, with heavy rain it was impossible for to see still she tried. A smile formed up on her lips when her eyes caught the glimpse of a house at some distance.
"Hope I'll get some help there." She prayed and started walking toward the house. Once she reach the house, she understood it was some farmhouse or beach house and now all she hoped was, she could get some help if anyone is inside.
With shivering hands, she pressed the door bell. And least she knew that the person who will open the door will be the same person she lost few years back and the sudden meet with the same person will change her whole life.
She wrapped her arms around herself, cold wind was hitting against her warm skin causing her to shiver. After a moment, Door creaked open. She looked up and open her mouth to say something but no words come out. With wide eyes she stare at the person in front of her. Her throat went dry, her heart rate picked up and she realized, in all those years, its first time her heart was beating so fast and reason for it was standing infront of her.
"Taani-" The person before her whispered. She met his gaze, he was as shocked as she was.
"Rey" Those words escaped her lips without her acknowledge. As she stare at the man before her with soft eyes, her eyes become moist. She was seeing him after 5 years. After 5 years her love was in front of him. She lifted her hand to see if he was true or her hallucination. Rey look at her with small smile as she touched his cheek with her soft fingers. He closed his eyes to savor the feel of her touch.
"Aap sach mein ho?" Her sweet voice brought him back into reality. He opened his eyes and stare at the god's most beautiful creature staring back at him with her eyes reflecting nothing but innocence.
"Haa. Taani, tum yaha? Kaise?" Rey cursed himself for stuttering infront of her. Taani took her hand back and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. A sign of nervousness. Rey thought noticing her small act.
"I was going back pune after meeting my grand maa when my car broke.." Taani trailed off. Just then his gaze fall over her body and he realized she was drenched in rain and was shivering.
"Come inside or else you will catch cold." Rey said to her. Without waiting for her reply he held her hand and pulled her inside the house. Taani shudder feeling his touch. Her mesmerizing gaze fixed over their hands, he had her hand in his, holding onto it tightly. She was shocked, the way her body respond to him even after years of separation.
"Rey, who is she?" Taani was brought back into reality when she heard a girl's voice. She looked up and found 10 pair of eyes staring at them.
"Taani, they are my college friends and guys she is taani. I'll give proper introduction later but before that she needs to change. Sharon can you give some clothes to her?" Rey introduce them, then asked sharon. Taani smiled awkwardly at them, She wasn't good around so many new people and her shyness make it even more worst.
On the other hand, Rey wasn't thinking about anything else. He was too happy after meeting her. All emotions floating in his eyes, he couldn't believe she was here, she is in front of him after 5 years.
"Sure, Rey." Sharon answered him. Rey nodded at her and took taani away from there to his room leaving his friends behind who were quiet shocked seeing him & taani.

It was the day of their result and the day he will be leaving for mumbai for his further studies. Taani & Rey were sitting in backward of singhania villa, She had rested her head on his shoulder while he had his arm wrapped around her.
"Taani, I'm sorry, I'm leaving you alone. I wish I could take you along with me." Rey whispered with moist eyes. Taani lifted her head and stare at him.
"Rey, don't be sorry. Our love will never become obstacle in our career. I love you but i would never want our love to become an obstacle in your career. It was your dream to go there and study. And you know that I can't come with you, My parents can't afford my education expenses and also, they will never allow me to go mumbai." Taani told her, tears brimmed in her eyes. Today might be the last day of her with him.
"But I don't want to go.."
"Sh. No more words, Rey. You will go there and study. Make your dream come true and I'm sure we will meet again someday and complete our love story." Taani whispered. She pressed her lips against him, kissing him softy. Rey pulled her into him and kissed her back. Rey closed his eyes poured his heart in that kiss, silently promising her to love her forever and wait for her till his last breath.
"Rey-" Rey come out of the memories of their last meet when he heard sharon's voice. He looked up and found sharon standing at the entrance of his room with some clothes in her hand. Rey walked over the door and took clothes from here.
"Thank you, Sharon." Sharon nodded at him in response and left from their. After she left, Rey turned toward taani who was standing in a corner of his room, silent and quiet uncomfortable in those wet clothes.
"Taani, tum change karlo then we will talk. We have so much to talk about." Rey said to her, he handed her a dry towel and clothes. Taani nodded and walked inside the washroom. With a shy smile playing on her lips, she stripped her clothes off and got ready. She couldn't wait to talk to him.
"What if he had already moved on?" Taani questioned herself. Sudden sadness crept in her heart when she thought him being with someone else.
"Ohffo! Taani, stop assuming things and talk to him directly." Her inner conscious told her. Taani nodded, she dried her hair with towel and glance at her image in mirror one last time before she exit the washroom.
Rey smiled at her direction as he saw her coming out of the washroom. Taani walked toward toward the window where he was standing by.
"Aap goa mein?" Taani started the conversation. She felt shiver ran down her spine under his intensified gaze.
"Ha, for a small vacation with college friends." Rey answered, he ran his hand through his well jelled hair. Taani nodded in return. Awkward silence prevailed between them. They both were gazing down into each others eyes Thousands of emotions were running through their eyes, longing for each other could be seen in them.
"Taani, why you broke all the contacts with me suddenly, after few months i shifted to mumbai you stopped taking my calls, never replied to my mails. Infact you deleted your FB account too. And then I got to know you no longer live in delhi, tumne mujhe kuch bhi nahi bataya, taani. Why?" Rey questioned her, taking steps toward her which in result her to take step back. They could have reunite long ago, only if they were still in contact with each other.
"Dad come to know about our relationship. He forced me to break all the ties with you and concentrate on my studies. He took promise from me to never contact you then dad got transfer and we shifted to lucknow. I'm sorry for hurting you like this." Taani broke down into tears as she disclose the reason why she stopped talking to him suddenly. Rey wrapped his arms around her and brought her in his embrace. He couldn't see his love in this condition.
