This serial might more appropriately have been called 'Kuntiputra Karna' rather than Suryaputra, since it embellishes Kunti's behavior in toto and creates imaginary enmity b/w Karna & Dury. Not just that, it villifies all the perceived or real 'rivals' of Kunti's mamata - both Radha and Madri. Radha was depicted as an evil stepmom who only started loving Karna after he saved her life, while Madri, who in real live was never a villain, was depicted as insulting Karna as a sutaputra in the imaginary encounter that Karna had w/ Pandu.

Given what they have changed in this story, if they do show Karna as joining Dury, then that would blacken Karna's reputation in this serial. In the real MB, Karna was driven into the arms of Dury since the Pandavas took the initiative in insulting him w/o any real provocation. In this serial, Karna is loved by both Kunti and Pandu, so if he turns against the Pandavas, he'll look at best as another Shalya, and at worst as an ingrate. Totally wreaking havoc on his reputation.

This serial might as well show Karna as joining the Pandavas and fighting for their rights against Bheeshma & Dury, instead of his usual role as one of the members of Dury's coterie.

The show is more like "Karna- A story inspired by Karna" o, no added lineage just pure imaginary nonsense, and I thought the SP Mahabharat was making things up, this show takes it to a whole new level it seems.

That was clear from the first episode itself, when they showed things like Surya being furious @ Karna being abandoned, Radha giving birth to a son that very day and hating Karna after finding out that she didn't give birth to him.

I was puzzled by the determination of this PH to glorify Kunti: for a Karna centric show, she should have been the villain. But today, they hit a new limit when they depicted Karna as being needlessly rude. In this imaginary story, they depicted Karna as helping the Pandavas kill this imaginary demon sent by Shakuni & Dury, and what followed b/w them was unbelievable, given the characters of both the Pandavas as well as Karna.

Yudisthir thanked Karna for helping them, and Karna told him that he doesn't help Kshatriyas, just saves them. Bhima took issue w/ that, and Yudisthir overruled him and accepted Karna's point. Karna then told him that he's either a great soul or a great schemer, and that pissed off Arjun, who warned Karna that nobody insults their Jesht.

The fictional story aside, the above encounter reflected poorly on everyone but Yudisthir. Karna so far had been happy to be gracious to everybody who extended to him a hand of friendship, and didn't hate anybody. Suddenly, he hates the Pandavas for no reason other than them being Kshatriyas. It's true that this serial wants to depict Karna's story as a caste struggle, but since when did Karna have a chip on his shoulder about Kshatriyas? This is an invention of ⭐️B when Karna sought to ingratiate himself to Parashurama: none of Parashurama's disciples - Bheeshma, Drona or Karna had any beef w/ Kshatriyas.

What was worse was Karna's behavior: up to yesterday, he had been gracious to everyone he ever encountered, but today, he needlessly brought up a fight where none existed. That doesn't reflect even the real Pandava-hating Karna. Also, he taunted the Pandavas wondering whether they could have killed Agniparv w/o his help, and Arjun regretted that they didn't get the opportunity to find out. And later, when Arjun goes to fetch Karna, who's headed for the forest, the latter ignores his calls, and Arjun sends forth arrows to block him. 😕

I do wish they had preserved the character profiles of everybody at least on Karna's side, even while making things up out of whole cloth

Karna was the one who always famous becoz he was very caring for his friends and very daring for his enemies...and this show just ruining his image. 🤢

Karna's hatrated towards pandavas wad created by the negligence/ignorance of the teachers like drpna/kripa/society and off course the injection of dury's hatrated...but bheem -Arjun was no less...they always insulted karna when he was alive..but karna never had any enemity with whole khatrita samaj...he never took any initiative to insult any khsatriya or Brahmin from his side...he always got insult from other side just without any reason then he repay back to it...here Sid T I'd showing something else.. 😡

Here, the Pandavas gave Karna exactly what he wanted - respect. Yudisthir overruled his brothers and called Karna their savior and all of them bowed to him. Karna's response to that was the height of rudeness: he told Yudisthir that he was either a great soul or a great prapanchi. And when confronted, he told Arjun that those were words of praise.

Given what they're changing, why don't they go all the way, and make Karna a Pandava? It'll be original, and it'll at least follow a consistent and logical script. At this point, I doubt that any one expects Vyasa's work here, so why not just go all the way and have Karna fight for Yudhi instead of Dury? Particularly since in the precap tomorrow, he'll tell Kunti that he'll return when Yudhi becomes king?

Actually, Arjun's achievements are overrated by modern mytho CVs, who know little about the epic and make up stuff out of thin air.

Like in this serial, just like in ⭐️B, Arjun is shown as a born archer & champion, which is bakwas. When the Pandavas were kids, Arjun was about as innocent as Nakul or Sahadev, and it was really Bhima who protected them from the Kauravas. It wasn't until at Drona's gurukul that Arjun started to shine on his own.

yes that is the confusion. if they are showing karna alreading clashing with durodyne in this serial,, where karns brother shon has to face punishment. he hates the kshatriyas especially bhishma , and because of duryodhana and dushasana cruelty towards the suta, he hates and despises them too. here karan has lofty principals and ideologies, that are akin to all man being created equal in the eyes of god. and one section of society doesn't have the right to dictate what another section of society must do and not do.
in this serial they have shown that karna forms a bond with the pandavas.

so later on how are they going to show why he joined duryodhan. why he chose to give up his lofty principles and ideas for duryodhan's friendship. and stand against the pandavs.

if he later joins forces with duryodhana, his present character will lose all integrity. i really like the karna. not that i don't like the MB karna. like is said he was a victim of circumstances and choices. but besides the company he kept , he was a great heroic character on MB

so i'm thinking that sid T is may show that karna joining forces with the evil duryodhana was karns master plan to bring about dury's downfall, thus extracting his revenge form dury, his brother and bhishma. in the end duryodhana did think that karna betrayed him, by not killing any or the pandav brothers on purpose, and letting himself get killed in the end.
