I say be happy with what you have. I don't see any reason to bleach your skin or change your appearance through plastic surgery, especially when you were already beautiful to begin with. And I know this is a deeply embedded cultural mentality, but I will continue to fight against that idea. Beauty is not color-limited.
Here's what I think about these ladies:
Sridevi - She was fine before. She doesn't look bad with her current skin tone either, but I don't like her new nose.
Shilpa - I think for her, it was just a matter of growing up and grooming herself. That's all she needed. Nonetheless, she still looks beautiful now.
Rekha - Honestly, she looks far more beautiful in the picture on the right with her natural skin tone. She looks like Michael Jackson on the left.
Priyanka Chopra - She was pretty then and she is still pretty now, but slightly fake looking. She won Miss World but still felt like she needed to change her look.
Kajol - When I was growing up, I thought Kajol was so beautiful. Her skin color never even crossed my mind. She was beautiful the way she was and she looked beautiful with minimal makeup. With her lighter skin, she looks pretty now too, but I never advocate bleaching your skin.
Bipasha - I was so happy that she was proudly representing tanned skin. She looked like she was going to make a difference. But she too fell into the pressure and that's sad.
Hema Malini - I can't believe even she lightened her skin, when she wasn't even that dark to begin with. Beautiful then, still beautiful now, but again - I don't agree with bleaching. It's sending out a horrible message to society.
