What is a story without its readers? Nothing, nothing at all!

This story has no identity without you. And for that I thank you!

A note about Second Chances

As the title alludes, it is about life, second time around - after chances offered, gained, lost and regained. It is a story about love, loss, grief, bereavement and all that goes with it. And it is also about courage to recognize those second chances that life bestows.

I have to be upfront here and provide a caveat .. if you are seeking to read a one-man/one-woman love story, then this is not it.

I am hoping to and will try to update every ten days..

First, Thank you so much for being so patient with my crazy summer schedule, travel and sporadic updates. Your consistency puts my own inconsistency to shame.

I am back home (US) after a lovely short visit with my friends and family in India. I have a few more days to battle this jet lag, but I promise that I will update more regularly henceforth.

I will update Chapter 26 on Wednesday, August 26th evening (US time). In the meantime, here is a small something I hope will keep your interest. I look forward to your speculations (I suck at this by the way, there may be no speculations at all!! 😆)

The road, Raizada... the road...

He muttered to himself as he slowed his speeding car to navigate around the traffic that seemed to materialized. His fingers gripped the gear as he shifted it down and his eyes moved to the rearview mirror unfettered.

His breath caught in his throat as he met her unwavering gaze.

How long had she been looking at him?

His eyes swung back to the road, hiding behind his darkened glasses. He drove in silence for a moment before his eyes sought the mirror...

Khushi sat on her low student bed, rocking back and forth with her fingers intertwined and eyes scrunched shut. Her mind lay on those moments she had spent with him.

What had gotten into her? How could she do it? How could she be so... What would he think...

But that kiss... and Arnav Singh Raizada...

Her eyelids tightened even more as the hair on her nape stood, sending a shiver down her body. She drew her knees up and rested her forehead on them as she drew in a long breath. It did nothing to slow her heart that decided to race.

It most certainly did not feel short for us here!

Many many congratulations on the new thread, 🥳

You give us this tantalising glimpse and then you ask us to wait ... 😭

First it's party time... Congratulations on Thread #3 and here's to many, many more because Second Chances needs to go on for a long time. And I am counting you to continue to deliver... Muahhh!

Welcome back my dear SS... how I have missed you! I am so excited you are back and an update coming up shortly you say... can't wait!

A teasing teaser, one that had left me intrigued... does it have to something with their past? Are we going to go down memory lane? Wait is she on his motorcycle? What about a glimpse into their first time... the possibilities are endless, but the impatient soul that I am will remain patient for you my dear friend.

We are ready for the ride...

Congratulations on reaching a new thread. I was also on holiday for almost two months and came back a few days ago. That's why, I couldn't even comment on a few of previous updates. Sorry for that. But I'm fully ready to read and comment.
