to be frank I blame no one but khushi here for the coming heartbreak or sadness
she led him on... in Mathura ... those stolen kisses in the day time or when the stayed up sitting out in the varanda in the middle of the night...

very beautiful update mira. it was so emotional and painful at some points. from their pov they are both right but its true khushi's words to arnav was very hertful and they are the ones that wont be able to be forgotten so easily, they are engraved in his heart and mind.

but then on the hand khushi has seen so much that she must be scared that if she reaches out and take this chance she might end up more lonely than before and she has to think about meera as well. its such a complicated and frustrating situation.

i loved the fact that watever may have happened arnav is not backing down. thats the trait of a determined man who at no cost will let the woman meant for him run away.

Do you know what this does to someone who is writing a story for the first time in her life and is wrought with self-doubt which leads to self-flagellation which leads to more self-doubt?

I love your message here so much that I want to upload the next chapter, chapter 30 right now. 😆

But, it isn't fully done yet my friend. There is a quarter left and then I promise to update it.

Now - for Khushi and Arnav... Kya bosun ab? Wait and see..

❤️

Where the Wound Lies

BY ANGELA DE HOYOS

because I go
like the professed
sinner repentant
to the altar
of your baptismal flame
I am saved

despite your
sculptor-love
whose whimsy kneads
and molds
and fires
then breaks
the free-form
of my fasting body
to make
me whole
yet thankful
I accept
these carnal gifts
of you
Eros
and wear them
as I would
flawless jewels

(how can you
know that I
have bled
the way
and back
biting the dust
to wear
your name?)

. . . the wound lies
not
in your infliction
but in my
expectations . . .

My dear SS, that was one heart wrenching update to read. I can only imagine what it must have been to write it. But you did it effortlessly! It was very well written!

The power of your writing is how every character in the story has a part. And a significant part throughout this journey. I have said this before and will continue to say it till the end... this is about Second Chances for all of them! And you make me want that for every character. From the little ones to the elders.

You start out with Khushi clutching onto her phone... do you know what that signifies for me? To me that her feeling closer to Arnav. That shift was so well presented right from the beginning of the chapter. Because we have seen her go to her necklace for Naren. But today I felt her wanting to be closer to the man who can be more, one day. But that will take time. Grieving is not something that we can ever get over. After all she has only come to Delhi a few days ago. In that short time, her feelings are coming forth for Arnav. But at the same time she is feeling guilty about betraying her husband's memory. Not to mention her fear of losing those she loves...

I loved how Devyani supported her, giving her a shoulder to lean on. From everyone, she can relate. Her experience with life, her own losses, has made her the strong woman she is today. What a remarkable human being? She selflessly comforted Khushi. I love her.

Manu, another woman who has not only lost her husband, but a young son. And in her mind she is connected to Naren with Meera and Khushi. If they leave, what happens to her? Or Naren's memories? Is that selflish? I don't think so. That's part of human nature to hold onto the people we love. The fear of losing far exceeds anything else. That's when we don't think rationally. She needs time to really think through this new possibility. It's a matter of acceptance, that her two girls will never leave her, despite them getting their second chance with Arnav and Mohan.

Arnav is back home and is upset. Rightfully so. He is hurt. And he doesn't want to lose her again. I admire his determination. But also like Maya, I don't want to see him heartbroken. Sigh. But something needs to give. It's definitely going to be long night, not to mention a long wait for us readers to see how this night turns out. And I for one will wait till my writerji is ready!

Once again you had me crying, feeling all the emotions with these characters... every single one of them. For that, take a bow It's no easy feat. 👏

"I don't want to lose anymore that I have"

Khushi's cry from her heart speaks of all the tumultuous emotions coursing through her. There's uncertainty, there's grief, there's hope, all swirling inside her. In the short period of time that she's been here, it is a lot to have to face and try to assimilate. And Mirabell you've shown her feelings so beautifully here. Giving us a glimpse of all those conflicting emotions.

The way in which Sumitra Raizada gently but determinedly makes Khushi think of her own heart was so touching to witness. Sage advice from a lady who, as you wonderfully put it, "had everything, lost almost everything and gained some back".

Witnessing Manorama's grief was completely heartbreaking. The abject pain which lay just below the surface, cascading out. Accepting change, much less embracing it is so difficult for us all. And how do you quantify grief. How can there be a finite time after which one "moves on". Our family and friends will always want for us to be happy and at peace. But that elusive peace can only be sought when we ourselves are ready for it. There's no template for it.

Mirabell, there is a delicacy in your writing that demands savouring and not scoffing. And I'm happy absorbing all that you've said here as I wait on the answer of whether "it's war or surrender".

Truths and Lies - Time for Introspection. Kuhi's actions, reactions, repentance, melancholy, uncertainty and muddle every emotion is portrayed seamlessly. I simply adore Sumitra Raizada. Naniji wise eyes didn't miss subtle exchange between Arnav and Kushi. Naniji conversation with Kushi is much needed push and enlightenment for Kushi to think about what she really wants to do when it is time to decide next step in her life. Is she ready to grab the happiness without feeling guilty? (Very important question by Nani that Kushi needs to answer herself)

Kushi kept Naren's memory alive not only in her heart but in every object in her life. Be it the nose pin, ring, chain every ornament on Kushi reminds her of Naren's presence and his preference. It is very hard to annul that feeling of guilt and betrayal to take leap and grasp second chance with Arnav. I think this is what making Kushi to take one step forward and retreat ten steps backward. Will Kushi be guilt free if Manorama does the talking about moving on with Arnav?

Conversation between Nandini and Manorama is very emotional as well. To me Manorama is not wrong thinking keeping Kushi and Meera with her as she envisions these two individuals as her connection to her beloved son. But sometimes we have to let people go on for betterment in their life. I think once Manorama pacifies her heart and envisage her daughter's future she will accept and encourage Kushi to move on to seek happiness. I also think Manorama and Nandini will play major role in Kushi's next decision.

Now, night is still very young and I am waiting for answer to why and is it going to be war? Is it going to be a surrender?

Very well written emotional roller coaster update MB 👏
