I think you missed the point I was making in my comment... I said when has salman ONLY helped star kids... NOT which star kids he's helped??... 😆I don't deny the fact that he's helped star kids (sooraj and athiya) but my point is that he's helped outsiders too...here's a few examples:
Actresses - he's helped Katrina, zarine, and sneha (all three were no star kids)
music world - himmesh reshamiya, sajid-wajid - they got their big break in BW due to salman
he also helped mudassar khan (choreographer)
so your point about how he would have gone out of his way to launch sid had he been a star kid and becos he isn't a star kid hence salman's not helped him makes no sense at all becos if his preference was to ONLY help star kids, then he'd never have helped those people mentioned above. star kid or no star kid, salman helps when and where he sees potential in an individual
how, why and what he meant when he made this comment to sid is something down to one's interpretation, you can read into this comment in many different ways - either it could be that he didn't feel sid had what it takes to be a BW star or it could have meant that he thought sid should work on TV first and then move into BW -
many actors/actresses are advised to work behind the screens on the sets first before launching on the big screen... i.e. hrithik, sonam, ranbir, sooraj etc all have worked as assistants on the sets to familiarise themselves with the work and gain film making experience. so does that mean all those people that advised these stars to work as assistants on the sets were jealous of these star kids and thought they lacked the talent to make it big in BW?
