Long before Sidharth Malhotra made his big debut in Bollywood and became a star, he was advised to turn to television industry instead of Indian film cinema by none other than Bollywood's Dabangg star, Salman Khan.
Yes, Sidharth Malhotra appeared on a talk show recently and during the interaction, he made a big revelation in front of everyone. Apparently,Sidharth Malhotra had just landed a role inKaran Johar's film Student of the Year, which also starred Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt, and there was still time for film's shooting to start. Sidharth visited Salman Khan at his house in Mumbai and met the star. During his chance encounter with Salman Khan, the two started talking. During their conversation, Sidharth didn't mention about signing Student of the Year to Salman Khan but Sidharth's friend, who accompanied him revealed the news to Salman. Kick star took a moment and observed Sidharth's face and after few seconds, Salman advised Sidharth to opt for television industry instead and become a TV actor.

While recalling the past incident in front of everyone, Sidharth smiling said, "Salman suggested that I do television instead." Sidharth went further and said that Salman's advise did puzzle him but it didn't offend him, instead he felt positive and motivated to be better and do better. Sidharth felt that it was a big thing as such a huge and well known actor like Salman Khan felt Sidharth was important enough to comment and advise him. In fact, Salman's words moved him and he felt a lot confident in a way.
Well, we have to say, it did play well as Sidharth gave his best and made a name for himself in the industry. Currently, the actor is busy with the promotional activity of his upcoming filmBrothers with his co-stars Akshay Kumar andJacqueline Fernandez. We'll also see Sidharth alongside Alia Bhatt and Fawad Khan in Karan Johar's Kapoor & Sons. The film also stars Rishi Kapoor.
