Saif Ali Khan says he won’t be holding son Ibrahim Ali Khan's hand during his film career due to THIS reason

Ibrahim Ali Khan, son of actor Saif Ali Khan, debuted in Bollywood with Karan Johar’s Nadaaniyan, but faced criticism for the film and his performance. His subsequent film, Sarzameen, also didn't resonate with audiences. In a podcast with Soha Ali Khan, Saif discussed Ibrahim's privileged background, emphasizing that he believes Ibrahim should navigate his career independently, given his advantages.

He highlighted the disparity between those with advantages and those facing significant hurdles, with limited opportunities for recognition. He noted the public's interest in individuals who achieve success in fields like music or acting without familial connections or industry support.

Saif also addressed the issue of actors receiving opportunities due to their family backgrounds, calling it "unfair." He acknowledged the public's criticism of those who repeatedly get chances but don't capitalize on them. “Once you are great at what you do, the audience feels vindicated, but the problem is when you get repeated opportunities, and you are pretty c**p at what you do, and people are like, ‘C’mon what is happening? Somebody is not getting a chance here, and this person is getting chance after chance’. That, I think, is very unfair.

Saif also mentioned his approach to supporting his son Ibrahim's Bollywood journey, I, of course, will support all my children, but there’s also a limit to how… I tell Ibrahim also… I mean, I don’t know if I should stand next to you and hold your hand at this time because you have already got so much because of who you are. So you need to do this on your own.

Saif Ali Khan has several upcoming projects, including the investigative drama "Kartavya," set to release on Netflix. Directed by Pulkit and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the film also stars Rasika Duggal and Saurabh Dwivedi. Additionally, he's involved in Priyadarshan’s "Haiwaan," reuniting with Akshay Kumar after nearly 17 years.

Meanwhile, Ibrahim Ali Khan is preparing for his next film, "Diler," directed by Kunal Deshmukh, with Sreeleela reportedly as the female lead. This project marks Ibrahim's theatrical debut, following his previous OTT films "Sarzameen" and "Nadaaniyan," which didn't receive positive audience feedback.
