On a mid summer afternoon traveling in a most crowded bus he recalled how he always wanted life planned to perfection he wanted to lead a life of bravery... setting an example to his siblings ...he wanted to be looked up on as a hero!
Looking out of the window he tried to take in as much as air as possible as the crowd of the bus n the baggage of failure he was carrying was getting too much for him to bare... leaving a defeated sigh he pulled out his luggage n got down the bus...
Sun was showering all its anger n the heat was at its peak sweat trickling down his fore head he walked down the narrow lanes with his back pack hanging on his shoulder trying to know y were the streets so empty... a few steps ahead he heard muffled sounds of n whispers...
Ignoring he walked past that lane entering the main road to hail a taxi which would lead him to the airport... when a yelp of pain caught his attention giving up he walked back n pulled those men who were trying to hide from him who were already in the attacking mode... he pulled out his gun n pointed at one of the men while others ran out of fear... pushing the other man away he tried to look behind the broken door if there was someone else hiding...
Luck was never her side cursing herself for her stupidity... she tried to push herself more into the wall
Giving up he held her arm n pulled her out... hair spread out over her face fear written clearly in her eyes she looked quite shaken up... looking at her for any kind of physical wounds he left her arm n walked away searching his destination...
He was Maan Singh Khurana a Suspended Army officer walking back the road which he thought was never meant for him leaving the girl gaping at his retiring back who very much wanted to express her gratitude but was too stunned to react!
I from my childhood wanted to achieve something n make my parents feel proud... it is a hidden wish in the corner of every average child to be iconic to his siblings... very few of us realize that it is not necessary to win bravery awards, bring home medals of achievements... there are other ways too to bring that precious smile on their faces even with out walking that extra mile...
It is just another love story... but as one of my friend says with my touch to it...
