The digitally created clips showed the comedian and actor in bridal and wedding looks, leading many social media users to believe that Jamie was preparing to tie the knot. The situation became so convincing that she began receiving calls from people congratulating her.

How the wedding rumours started

The videos began circulating online as AI-generated content, presenting Jamie in what appeared to be wedding-related visuals alongside Yashvardhan. While the clips were initially treated as harmless internet content, the rumours soon gathered enough attention for people to mistake them for genuine wedding announcements.

Jamie revealed that she initially found the videos amusing. She and her cousins even shared the clips among themselves and laughed about how convincing and creative they were. However, the mood changed when acquaintances began calling her to congratulate her on the supposed wedding.

Jamie says Yashvardhan is her brother

Addressing the confusion, Jamie made it clear that there is no wedding between her and Yashvardhan. In fact, she revealed that the person shown alongside her in the viral wedding content is her younger brother.

Calling the videos “completely fake”, Jamie asked those behind the AI clips to stop circulating them now that they had gained enough views. She also brought her trademark humour into the clarification, joking that the fake wedding had even affected her real-life marriage prospects.

She said the rumours had become a problem because people were taking them seriously. Jamie also urged social media users not to create unnecessary videos around such claims, pointing out that the situation involved her own family.

Jamie and Yashvardhan are working together

The confusion may have been fuelled further because Jamie and Yashvardhan are associated with the same upcoming film, Hero Ki Horoine. Yashvardhan is making his acting debut with the project, which marks director Sajid Khan’s return after a break.

The film also features Nitanshi Goel, Sunita Ahuja, Chunky Pandey, Brijendra Kala and Simrat Kaur Randhawa, along with Jamie.
