CHAPTER-3

"So, how are we exactly going to do this?" Sharon asked from driver seat. They were all gathered up in her car outside Taani's place. Taani sat in passenger seat, while the boys were at back. They both had their car parked nearby.

"I say we go straight in, and tell her the truth." Taani mumbled, her looks defining a mixture of emotions. All of them gave her a blank look, to which she raised her hands, surrendering.

"Wait! This is actually good." They all turned to look at the boy with chocolate eyes, and a dashing smile. "If we all are honest, I am sure aunty won't mind. From what Taani has told us, she is strict about some things, other than that, she is cool. What say?"

Three of them stared at him, two trying to register what he said, while the third beaming at him for support. When Rey's eyes caught Taani's beaming face, he flashed a dazzling one.

"Alright," came Swayam's reply. Sharon nodded, still unsure about it all.

"Let's go!" Rey ushered everyone out. Now that everything was really happening, she felt anxious. Taking a deep breathe, she stepped out of the car. Her heart thumped against her rib, making jolts of electricity pass through her. Damn this feeling, she felt her conscious whisper.

They all stepped at the porch of her small, yet beautiful house. It was painted like it had been built of bricks, two windows of either side of the door, and a small garden, with a veranda. A cut house, if we summon it up in a word.

Taani rung the bell, all of them waiting for the doors to be opened with fingers crossed. Seconds later they heard a shuffling and footsteps from other side. And in matter of seconds, the door swung open, revealing Taani's mom on the other side of threshold.

Everyone looked at her and found her...graceful. Even in her thirties, the woman had a charm about herself, just like her daughter. Her orbs were a dark chocolate shade, just like her daughter. Her skin was still smooth, with a little ageing signs.

Archana did not expect Taani to be with a company. The smile that she had on, faltered a little, only to be replaced with a small confusion. She had never seen Taani with any of them. She opened the door wide, meeting Taani's eyes. Taani looked stressed, she could tell that much.

"Hello, aunty." She heard a chorused greeting from three of them, full of energy, while her daughter graced her with a small, meek smile and hi.

"Hello, kids," Archana smiled at them, ushering them inside. All of them entered, murmuring small thanks.

They all entered the small living room, which was painted off- white. All of them settled themselves on the sofa.

"Um, mom, these are my friends," Taani spoke up from where she was sitting. A single sofa, while the three sat on the bigger one, together. "They will accompany me on the trip." Hearing Taani's voice, Archana felt more confused.

"Okay! That is great." She beamed at all of them, easing their heart beat a tad bit. "But, why do you sound so... low?" her eyerbrows furrowed in confusion. What is the problem with that?

Unable to resist it any more, Rey said it first," Aunty, we have to leave on Monday, and, we were planning on having a sleep over at Sharon's place." Rey finished with a smile, and an under-lying doubt.

Hearing that, Archana found herself in a... never expected stage. Of course she expected Taani to have guy friends. She would go to parties, maybe get drunk and sleepover too, but now that it was actually happening, she felt troubled. She should let her go, but she had a need to protect her.

"But.. what about packing?" she tried to reason, her voice a little hesitant. Her eyes wandered to Taani, who was still sitting with her bowed, fidgeting with her fingers.

This time, it was Sharon who spoke up. "Don't worry about that, aunty. We will either pack it today or tomorrow." She assured with a smile. Archana was still not satisfied.

"Taani, baby, you would be going in next two days, I thought we could spend some time together?" her words triggered Taani's heart. Oh god! What did I even thought? Her subconscious was fast to speak. She looked up, meeting her mom's gaze, a feeling of guilt over powering her senses. Her eyes moved around, scanning everyone else's face. Their smile had faltered.

Seeing Taani's gaze averted, Archana looked at what she was looking at. She watched as everyone lost their smile, their eyes lowered. She felt sad seeing that.

"But."

Her small but was enough to light the small lamp of hope in them.

"But, what aunty?" Swayam spoke up, his eyes glowing with tint of hope.

"You all can have a stay over tomorrow." She replied, smiling lightly at all of them. Taani looked surprised. She squeaked in excitement and ran to hug her mom. Another squeak, a feminine one was heard, before the duo felt more hands around them.

Archana felt good seeing all of them happy. After a long time she actually felt good. The embrace, the warmth these teenagers provided her melted her heart.

"Mom! Oh my god! Thank you so much!" Taani spoke with excitement lacing her voice. She could not stand still. She was nearly jumping on her spot. Sharon was no different though. Boys seemed to be a little controlled, but the excitement still buzzed off them.

"Well then, this way I get time with my daughter, and you all can enjoy as well." She spoke, planting a small strip of Taani's hair behind her ear. They all nodded. She was happy she could make her daughter feel good. She knew this was going to happen, and she cant stop it. She is growing up, she needs to learn how life is- with the boys.

"Now, all of you, at least introduce yourself," Archana teased. They all smiled sheepishly.

"I am Sharon, aunty. And, I already like you so much." Sharon engulfed her in another hug. Archana patted her back.

"I am Swayam." Swayam spoke up, raising his hand for a handshake. Archana shook her head, embracing him instantly. All of them smiled looking at them.

"Rey." Rey's voice was a little distant. Archana looked at him. He stood in a corner, his eyes cold. She walked towards him, raising her hand, she caressed his hair. His frame stiffened in a second, but loosing it the other. His eyes met with her warm one, breaking his walls, looking past his cold exterior. She lightly pushed him towards herself, and seconds later she was embraced tightly by his strong, muscular hands.

Taani looked at them with admiring eyes. There were unspoken words, so much tears ready to spill, the love to blast each other with warmth. But, right now, silence was so much better. It eased them all.

"Damn! Am I nothing now?" Taani pouted, gaining everyone's attention. Giggles and chuckles flowed in the room, and an eye roll from our dear mommy. She moved towards her and pecked her cheek, smiling at her.

"Well, stay for dinner. It is almost ready. You all talk till then," Archana smiled and moved in kitchen. All of them looked at each other with beaming faces. Oh such a relief. Taani and Sharon squeaked making boys chuckle. Both of them jumped and pulled each other in a bear hug. Boys looked at them, admiring the duo. Girls parted at looked at boys, running to them, and tackled them in a big hug. Four of them hugged each other living the moment. It was a beginning to all the moments they were going to have.

"Guys, you sit, I am gonna help mum in kitchen," Taani said to all of them, to which they shook their heads. Her face pooled with confusion.

"Oh no, sweets! We are helping, too," Sharon chirped, marching to the kitchen. Taani looked at the boys, who had amusement glowing on their face. They shook their head, following Sharon. Taani felt her heart swell with love.

What did I do to deserve them?

"Oh my aunty! The dinner was so good." Swayam slumped in the sofa, circling his now full stomach. All of them were now laying in living room. Archana smiled warmly at all of them, glad to know they loved the dinner.

"I agree with him, Archie." Sharon spoke next. All of them looked at her, baffled. She felt the silence growing, her eyes opened and registered everyone was staring at her. Suddenly, she went pink, realizing what she said.

"What? Archie is better. Aunty, you have issue with it?" she looked at Archana, raising her brows. Her eyes shone with plead, and Archana could not find it in herself to deny her. She shook her head, beaming at her.

Sharon jumped from her place, and crushed Archie in her arms, rocking both of them back and forth on the sofa. All of them smiled at her.

"We should probably go, Archie. It's late," Swayam spoke up from where he was laying on the couch. Everyone turned to look at the clock, which strike 10:49. They never realized so much time had passed.

"Yeah, even I think." Rey agreed with Swayam. Sharon's face fell, not ready to leave her Archie just so soon. Since she started calling Archana Archie, everyone now used it. They felt more comfortable and family, not Taani of course.

"You know..." Archana said thoughtfully, she looked up at them, and then at Sharon, "you all can stay here tonight?" she winked at Sharon, who nodded her frantically, wanting both the boys to say yes. Sharon turned to boys, who looked between her, Archana- who was smiling at them, and at Taani who was trying to keep still from the bulging excitement within her.

Wanting to stay, boys nodded, making both of the girls clap their hands in delight.

Archana sat on the chair in her room, looking at nothing in particular. She was content today. She felt happy. And, she was very well familiar with the reason.

Sharon was such a bright and cheerful girl. She nearly forgot that she was not her child. Sharon's exterior was some what opposite to that of her inside. She seemed tough, and the one with standards, but the truth was far from it. She was beauty with brains. She was smart, gorgeous and at the same time, she had a warm heart and nature.

Swayam. Such an obedient kid. From the time she had noticed him, she knew he was mature and studious kid. And, he was handsome too. She noticed the bond between him and her daughter. Just like brother and sister. She would not mind having a son like him. He was smart, and protective of her daughter. Things that she could not provide her could be provided by him.

Reyansh. Her mind finally terminated her to him. This boy was so different than others. He had a hard exterior under which were so much emotions. The turmoil he possessed was boozing in his body. He needed to be taken care of. His eyes reflected the pain he felt. But, unlike the relation Swayam had, Rey had something different with her daughter. And, she knew what it was, what will it grow into. That bothered her, but she cant stop it. It was what faith decided. She just hope Taani knew her goals.

Archana signed, heading towards her bed to sleep off her worries.

"What do we do?" Sharon clapped her hands, sitting on Taani's bed. All of them were spread across her room. Taani was sitting on the floor, her back supported by the bed. Swayam laid on the bed, with his head in Sharon's lap. And, coming to Rey, he was moving around, observing her room.

"We can play twenty questions?" Taani quirked her brows, asking them.

"I don't mind. I would like to know you all,"Swayam sat up, saying so. All of them looked at Rey, who stopped his survey and nodded at them. He moved to sit beside Taani. Once settled, he looked down at her, who was already watching him awe. Sharon and Swayam rolled their eyes, watching the two idiots.

"What is your favorite color?" Taani looked at everyone. They all narrowed their eyes at her, to which she retreated and slumped back in her place.

"Is this going to be this way? Never mind. Mine is purple." Sharon shrugged.

"Black," Swayam said, stroking Sharon's hair, who now rested in his laps.

She turned to look at Rey, who gave her a small smile. "Blue," he said, tucking her hair behind her ear. She blushed resting her head on his shoulder.

"What do you like to do in your spare time?" Taani spoke up again. All of them rolled their eyes at her.

The game had now stopped and now they were all busy in their own world. Well, maybe their partner's world.

Sharon and Swayam were having their time. Small pecks and touches with a little talk. It was hard to be believe they were "friends with benefits." They were sprawled on the bed, talking each other in whispers. Such lovey - dovet couple if someone sees.

Talking about Taani and Rey, they were silent. But in reality, they had their souls speaking to each other. Taani had her rested on his shoulder, while he had his one hand around her shoulder. Taani was busy playing with Rey's other hand. And, Rey was busy looking at her.

They could hear the other two, and when they got heated up, Taani would blush, and Rey would chuckle at her, stroking her hair. They both knew they had something, but both of them were not ready to accept it, for their own reasons.

"Taani, we should sleep," Rey stroked her hair. Taani nodded, looking up at him. Both of them stood up, and looked at the two lover birds sleeping on the bed. They shook their head, smiling. This time, they again sat on floor, intending to sleep there.

Both of them stayed there, sitting, not exactly knowing how to sleep.

Taani was too tired to keep it on, so instead, she turned to him, leapt at him. He was too shocked to react. He let her take him down. His back touched the floor, his eyes looking at her intently. She turned red, and she moved to lay on him. Her head rested on his chest, her hands resting around him. His hands encased her waist, feeling her heart beat.

This was really wild of her, but only he could manage to get her this side out of her. she could feel the desires swirl in her body. And, something happening to her, there.
