Karam Rajpal, who plays the male lead in 'Mere Angne Mein', prefers doing all things himself and that includes the stunts, too. In an episode of the show, his character was required to perform stunts on a bike near a lake. And while the production unit suggested using a body double for the scene, Karam insisted on performing the stunt on his own.
That's because, before taking up acting profession, he was part of a motorcycle stunt riding group from Punjab. Says the actor, "After performing some heavy-duty stunts, this one was like a cake walk. There was also another stunt where I had to save my onscreen brother from fire, for which I covered a 12-ft distance on an aluminum ladder without any harness."
And while such high-octane action sequences give him an adrenaline rush, his passion has always been a cause of concern for his parents. He says, "They would always worry about my safety and dissuade me from participating in such stunts. I would always tell them to not worry as it's safe."
