My whole family and I adore Kamal, he is phenomenal.
But yeah, his antics with the ladies are well known. He absolutely can't commit to a single woman. He makes himself sound like the victim all the time. Like the reference to how he had to pay alimony to his first wife Vani and how he was not really the villain during his and Sarika's divorce- yeah, rightđ„± To put it succinctly and a tad blasphemously- he is Tamil cinema's KSG.đ
He divorced Vani for Sarika, and divorced Sarika after his affair with co-star Simran Bagga, and soon ended the relationship with the latter as well. Not to mention his countless affairs with co-stars. His personal life is just too colourful.
Not to mention that some of the things in this interview make absolutely no sense to me. But that is to be expected. He is way too pretentious sometimes and I do not identify with his ideologies, especially the way he thrusts his atheism again and again down the throats of the audience in all his movies. He is entitled to his views, but I don't like the same theme being delineated again and again.
As for Shruti, she is better off being a singer than an actor. Her track record in Tamil is better. Some of her Telugu movies are atrocious.đ€ą
