Yes, and I think it has been for a while at least. Everyone gave examples of both the 70s artists and the current artists who have had success post marriage. 80s and 90s seemed to had gone backwards a little but I think it's back to being much much more accepting of married actresses.


I think the biggest problem and challenge is lack of good scripts and characterization once these girls hit middle age. They are too old to play typical heroine but still too young to play mother of grown adults. So they disappear. I think that's been Madhuri and Sridevi's biggest challenge especially since they are not willing to just play a typical bhabi or didi.

In recent years there is only Kareena Kappor who can be considered a torch bearer for the fraternity. Kajol, Madhuri, Juhi ..all superstars a few years back make intermittent appearances but have lost that sparkling status in the industry that was theirs by right. of their talent and hard work.
