MUMBAI: Raja Chaudhari, the estranged husband of television actress Shweta Tiwari, is in the news for the wrong reasons yet again. According to the police, a sozzled Chaudhari and three of his friends created a scene at an Oshiwara-based dhaba in the wee hours of Monday when they were denied entry. Later, a non-cognisible (NC) complaint was registered against Chaudhari at the Oshiwara police station for hurling abuses and disturbing the locality. "The incident occurred around 1 am on Monday. Chaudhari was celebrating the launch of a new business venture and wanted to treat his friends. When they arrived at the dhaba, the staff told them it was closing time and they were not entertaining any more guests. At this, Chaudhari threw a fit and had an altercation with the dhaba staff," said senior inspector K Sonawane. Police officials arrived at the spot and took Chaudhari and his friends to Cooper Hospital at Vile Parle (W) for a blood-alcohol test. But Chaudhari created a ruckus outside the hospital too. "He started shouting that the cops would ill-treat him and drew comparisons between himself and an imprisoned Sanjay Dutt. He even took off his shirt," an official said. Two months ago, Tiwari had approached the police and lodged an NC complaint against Chaudhari for harassment. The couple has been married for over eight years and has a five-year-old daughter Palak. Tiwari and her daughter now live separately. Chaudhari was also in the news after he misbehaved with a female television reporter. Tiwari has played the lead role in Balaji Telefilms' successful tele-serial Kasauti Zindagi Kay for the last six years. Chaudhari, however, has not been able to make a mark as an actor. The couple was seen together on television on the second season of dance show Nach Baliye. https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/Mumbai/TV_actor_creates_r ukus_at_dhaba/articleshow/2261076.cms |
