IMO, Haider-Humaira is not comparable to Shaad-Jannat.
Why? Because Humaira herself made the choice of going with Haider and trusting him to the point of choosing to sleep with him. Haider did not pressurise her into sleeping with him or even trusting him. I am not trying to justify Haider but I really don't think he is as bad as and certainly not worse than Shaad. He had a reason behind what he did with Humaira (and I am not saying that those reasons were morally righteous), but soon he overcame his vengeance and thirst for revenge and actually fell for Humaira.
Therefore, even though he had every intention of destroying her life before, IMO his love for her allowed him to overcome those very wrong intentions. I think Haider was actually a very interesting character, very grey, but very nuanced. And I think he was justified in getting the girl without paying for his actions, because he was able to overcome all the darkness within him only due to that girl.
And I also have to mention the fact that Humaira was not an amnesia patient, and was fully aware of her own identity, and the identity of the people around her. Plus there is also that aspect of presentation. Haider's deception was always shown as just that, deception and wasn't brushed past and romanticised or made to look like some rom-com. Only when he realised he fell for Humaira and doesnt want to follow through with his wrong intentions, the situation was different. Correct me if I am wrong on this, but Humaira was also shown as reacting? So this simply does not compare.
On the other hand, Shaad is a man who did not give Jannat/Sanam any agency. He just picked her up from the street, like some rag-doll, for him to keep. I know I am sounding harsh here, but I am just telling it like it is. He did not give Jannat a choice and just assumed it is best if she stays with him. Isn't that an violation of a woman, plain and simple? His actions are only being shown from his point of view and are being made light of. No one but Shaad knows what he is doing. So the presentation in this case is very different to Haider-Humaira. Moreover, Sanam is not getting to react to this at all, and I don't think she will be shown reacting afterwards, when she finds out the truth. Sanam is not even aware of her own identity, so she can't react, because she is being spoon fed lies about her own identity and her husband's identity. Shaad's actions need to be shown for what they are, not brushed past all the time. He should be shown as believing in his lies and delusions, instead of his actions just excused by being shown as a person who is being cornered into a position which forces him to lie continuously.
Sorry for the essay. Hope I am making sense.
