Ajnabi's POV (2 hours ago)
I had made a decision and now nothing and no one could stop me.
I took my phone and hit the call button after taking a deep breath.
The phone kept ringing.
With every ring I prayed that the phone gets answered.
I was elated when I heard a female voice and sprang up saying Hello Anamika!
But was disappointed when the female voice did not pay heed to what I said and continued saying 'The subscriber you are trying to call is not answering. Please try again later'
Neither my call nor my prayers were answered.
"Kismat" I said and laughed at the cruel joke fate was playing on me.
Just as I thought of giving another try my phone vibrated and I looked expectantly at the Caller ID.
NO it was not her!
Am I not a fool to expect her call?
She does not know my number and the Caller ID of my phone is protected...
But who is calling me at this hour of the night.
It was an unknown number but looked familiar.
I tried to remember who the number belonged to.
Isn't that the number I just copied from google?
I re-read the number and realised yes it was!
"Kismat" I smiled at the fate for being kind to me and I immediately hit the answer button.
"Hello RKB...Thanks for calling...I wanted to call you but I was hesitant as I just came to know that you are getting married today...thank you for calling me..."
"Hello and welcome..."
"Oops Sorry...Mai excitement me bhool hi gaya ke call aapne kiya hai...kahiye aapne mujhe kaise yaad kiya"
"Its alright...Aap bataiye aap kyun call karna chahte the mujhe"
"Apko meri book Char Kadam yaad hai? Wo kahani asal me meri kahani hai aur meri Anamika ki aaj shadi hai. Mujhe nahi patha ke wo kahan hai bas itna patha chala ke woh Delhi me hai to mai use dhoondta hua yahan tak aagaya"
"Aap Delhi me ho?"
"Haan...Mujhe kisi bhi tarah Anamika tak pahunchna hai. Kya aap meri madad karenge? Aap ki yahan par bahut pahunch hai. Please Anamika ko dhoondne me meri madad keejiye"
"Zaroor karunga magar usse pehle apko mere kuch sawalon ka jawab dena hoga"
"Of course..poochiye" I agreed assuming he wanted to know her details in order to find her.
"Kya aap Anamika se pyar karte ho?"
"Haan...bahut pyar"
"Kya aap use hamesha khush rakhoge?"
"Haan hamesha"
"Kya aap uspe kabhi koi takleef nahi aane doge?"
"Kabhi nahi"
"Kya uski khushi apke liye apni khushi se badhkar hogi?"
"Haan" I expected him to ask about her name, address, profession and other details that would help him find her but he was interrogating me like a suitor "Aap mujhse ye sab kyun pooch rahe hain?" I voiced my doubts.
"Kyunki tumhari Anamika MUJHE milgayi hai" he said.
Did he just say that!?
"Kya?" I asked again to confirm.
"Tumhari Anamika MUJHE milgayi hai"
He had made a great revelation but his tone sounded strange.
Did he mean he has found Anamika or he meant that my Anamika belongs to him now?
Shouldn't he be emphasising on the words milgayi hai instead of mujhe then?
However I rubbished those thoughts because right now it was the time to rejoice.
"Aapko patha hai Anamika kahan hai?"
"Haan"
"Please bataiye ke woh kahan hai. Mujhe jald se jald us tak pahunchna hai"
"Aap bataiye aap kahan hain. I will come pick you. Aap Delhi me naye hain, aapko jagah dhoondne me dikkat hogi"
"Thank you so much"
In an hour RKB had come to pick me.
I was growing impatient with every minute.
Now that I knew I was going to meet Anamika, I could not wait to tell her how much I love her.
I had waited for an year but this wait of an hour seemed much longer.
RKB asked me to wait in the car while he stepped out to make a call.
She came like a bright star in the dark night, smiling and galloping like a horse.
Did she already know that I was here?
She looks so happy and content.
Even without make-up she has a different glow on her face now.
Probably RKB had informed her that I am here that is why she looks so happy.
I can't wait to have her in my arms now.
Cluck I opened the door and out I stepped to embrace the love of my life, My Anamika.
She suddenly halted in her steps and stood rooted at her spot when her eyes met mine.
I could not wait anymore.
I ran to her, engulfed her in my arms.
"I love you Anamika"
Did I just say that!?
