I disagree... dont think that is much of a factor at all.. and heck.. ranveer shouldnt worry about that.. that is the director and/or casting director's headache...

How is that related to ranveer's decision of doing a film or not.. ?

I didnt understand the point you are trying to make with Lootera and KD ... umm... lootera flopped , so that doesnt mean he should go to the other extreme of doing two-three "masala entertainers" to compensate for that..

I mean.. like u said.. Kill Dil flopped too.. toh kya faida hua?

When young actors do films like lootera , they atleast get critical acclaim .. but when they do masala films.. they actually dont get anything out of it tbh..

Critics toh waise bhi rarely like them.. And it isnt going to break any records either (all of them set by the three khans)

So finally, what do they gain out of it?

Ram lakhan urgghh...its one of its kind headache enticing experience why the heck kjo wants to remake it; I mean this movie airs on TV every other day 🤪
I hope Ranveer is doing that Anand Rai project. He should seriously stay away from these multisrarrers & 2 hero masala flicks for a while!

who can say no?Box Office success is guaranteed.

Gunday was a commercial success (62% profit)..Ranveer's 2nd biggest opener.He got critical acclaim for his screen presence and performance.Even from international critics.Shows he can adopt any genre and that showcases versatility.Only he and varun can do justice to masala entertainers among the younger generation.

Want him to do a super hero and crime thriller.RK and Sid both have superhero projects.He will get one eventually.What about the Shiva trilogy?Heard tiger shrofff replaced Hrithik😆.If hrithik not attached to it RS should get it.High hope but u never know.

One other thing clear about Ranveer is he is made for intense roles, thrillers... intensity in any genre is his forte..nobody matches his intensity among new generation actors... How good he was in Lootera! Even in Ram-Leela, his acting was way above Deepika and at the end of the movie when credit rolled, the only character that stayed with me was Ram Bhai..

But such movies are difficult and it takes a toll on actors. dilip kumar consciously avoided such roles after falling into depression, Guru Dutt too...His Bajirao's character is one of the best and toughest...

So actors, i feel tend to do a light role after such intense roles...

I actually trust his decisions from here on out, because I am sure he has learned how to make better choices after Kill Dil. He really did it for Shaad, and the best thing I love about him is he still whole heartedly loves the film. Just because it didn't do well, he didn't disassociate himself from the film, like most actors do. He still takes pride in it.

Him playing Lakhan may be following a dream, he's had it since day 1. He is here to act, and I think thats his sole purpose in the film industry. He loves over-the-top. That is exactly what Lakhan is, and after DDD and BM, i think it will be a good change. Because both those characters are supposed to be quieter mature ones.

I trust him in his decisions. For him acting is a passion, more than a career. We are the ones who analyze his passion as his career, and measure his success by the role versatility. He just likes to challenge himself, and doesn't look at other factors.

sorry for the rant, but had a lot of veeru feelings to get out :)
