I hv no idea what is happening on the show these days... Is Ruk still hogging the screen space or do they hv a new irritating favorite who has been assigned the task of testing viewers patience?

Hi Cleo,

So lovely to have you back 🤗

These talent-deprived arrogant people are never short of work in this profit-driven industry. They are paid to watch other shows / movies and pick up scenes / dialogs / etc from there and rehash it all. That's why our shows are so repetitive and pathetic!

Do you remember your thread after Jodha left Agra when Jalal asked her to leave (in Sujamal in haram track)? I remember it had such intense heated discussions ran to 50 odd pages with wonderfully written posts giving pro and anti arguments! The wonderful long post of Kaana who was a newbie then on that thread.

I used to read newbie threads & when I loved a post used to mark it for sharing on Sunday. Our late night 12 a.m. PMs discussing the episode! The long discussions - all because we loved Jodha Jalal so much. I also love Jodha more - for me it was always Jodha's Jalal that I loved.
I remember the Jalal pray for Jodha's life episode - the episode when Jalal Jodha have the discussion at night when she wakes up. There are so many episodes & scenes which are still everfresh in my mind.

How much Paridhi & Rajat lived JA roles - it is like they ARE JA. What chemistry their single eye lock had!

How much each JA forum member loved JA - to see it reduced to this level for the lack of creativity of CVs is painful. Wish they had just followed the story & viewers attachment with JA would have still kept it on top. You are right, I don't even care what is happening anymore.

Hope we meet on some other serial forum soon.

Maddy

Don't remind me of old scenes / discussions. It's painful to even think of them and then to see this mess!

Wish they had just ended the show after Salim was born.

Yes, PariJat were wonderful as JA and really brought alive the story in front of our eyes as if we were watching real history. But now all that seems like a dream. 😕And this present version is the nightmare we never expected.

It is really sad that this forum once a medium for lively discussions based on Jodha and Akbar is now dull and lifeless, thanks to EK.

There was absolutely no need for her to have taken the leap. There were still many historical aspects, social achievements, political and religious policies of Akbar, his relations with the Rajvanshis, the Portuguese, the expansion of his empire, the growth in his family etc, etc, to mention a few that could have been addressed in detail for a whole year, without having to be subjected to this utter nonsense in the name of leap.

To make matters worse, Jodha and Akbar do not look old enough to be parents of a grown up Salim. The storyline, screenplay, dialogues, everything is poor and I foresee a bleak future for the present track.

I've nothing against the new actors playing various roles. All of them are trying hard to prove themselves. However, Jodha and Akbar have left an indelible impression in our minds with their personalities and performance and it is impossible to see any other pair take their place, with a new story that is still being shown under the title of Jodha and Akbar.

Ekta could have treated the characters of Jodha and Akbar respectfully, by decently ending the serial post the birth of Salim. She could have then started the love saga of Salim/Anarkali. This would have been more acceptable and bearable.

If you read clearly, the word i used in my comment was a CLEAR "REQUEST made to you" in the very starting. Please see again.

If you think it was sarcasm , then let me assure you, it was not intended to be so. It was a genuine comment. I wanted to know more, as it is said knowledge can be taken from any place, hence the comment.

It is not a crime to quote anyone , as it was a post on open forum. Any ways, Ok. I will resist asking more questions to you in future. :D But, being an open forum one can comment on ANY THREAD, quote any one , as per COC , and i did it quite respectfully. I don't think one can moral police / advice / tell , not to comment / quote.

And, about the Kids details, that is not the part of discussion of this thread. Each to his own. I did not stop / tell anyone not to question me. Please do question me at the designated place (but not on this thread). Along with that, neither i commented on variety of details being posted here on many of your threads, though i have details contrary to what is being posted there.

Lastly and finally, I simply asked because, normally, i find my readings divergent from yours, though i also read from the "same" sources mentioned by you, but unable to find what was mentioned in your last comment.

PS :No where i said there is any "history" in your comment. I happened to read your comment first, on this thread, and hence could not resist the temptation to reply. I have already mentioned in my previous comment, we can use the sticky on forum for giving history references, as per forum rules. I do the same. :)

@ history greek
I do not want to comment on anything except that I have been long enough on this forum and seen the ganging up and cyber bullying that takes place on this forum for any opposing view or information that has been posted in historical posts etc. So the biggest joke is that this forum is independent. I know very well how many people have been hounded out of forum for posting differencing view in the past year and more even if they were right many times. Many people are even scared to write anything about serial also forget history as they will be hounded and bullied if they have differing views.
Further ehen I quote I need not mention every reference like you as I would have read the info few months or years back and I do not have time like you to check every book and keep quoting everytime. Sometimes they may be small errors in quoting because of memory overlap. Otherwise all I quote is from books and research papers only of historians/resaerchers. If the British Library books or YUL/NYL says something and that is not right as per you not my fault. I only quote what I read most of the time.
All I am saying is do not keep responding about history facts when my reply is regarding common query. Simple and final.

^^ @ myviewprem

I am responsible for my own comments, NOT for what what anyone else does in the forum. In fact, i was almost absent here for the last 6-7 months. I have never mocked a person / cyber bullied / ganged up, and certainly never on your threads. I am responsible and confident enough to question / quote on my own, alone.

I have been very amiable & courteous in my interaction till now, so do not accuse me of such things. No fellow forum member can suggest / direct another member what to quote and what not to, which you have been doing continuously in the last 2 comments.

In fact, if the case is of "hounding and bullying", no one has perhaps seen the worst than me, for i am aware of the kind of personal remarks/attacks & degrading comments made about me on this forum, though i choose never to respond. Some of the mocking sessions for me were even conducted on your thread last year, though i ignored it also.

Coming to the matter at hand, I did not ask you for the name of any of your sources in my first reply. You are contradicting your first comment by what has been written in above comment^^. I simply mentioned that i have gone through those same 'sources' which you mentioned first but i did not find the info mentioned by you in them. So i requested you to correct me on my understanding of a few points, in case i was wrong. I responded ONLY to what was written in your comment. I did not mention any "reference" like you, but simply said that we could move to the sticky if the discussion became historical in nature, because this is Maddy's last thread on the forum and I do not wish to bring it into trouble.

This is all I have to say about this matter, which i think is clear.

I have totally stopped watching the show and even for the sake Paridhi & Rajat, it doesn't appeal to me to watch. And even though I come on IF, I try to avoid this forum because, it gives a sense of void to see nothing good in the serial and I can't imagine watching a lifeless JA. It hurts to remember a dead person and it is same feeling with JA for me. There is nothing left for us to dissect from their eyes, unsaid words, their distancing and their feelings for each other even when they were miles apart. Now I can't see that unquestioned togetherness even when they stay together. This Jalal whom we loved and nurtured didn't learn respect and trust his soul-mate (is what we thought) Jodha even after their kids were ready to learn warfare. The fierce Jodha whom we loved for her self respect and her dignity completely forgot the ABCD of that immediately after she thought she fell in loved with her husband. The great warrior didn't even thought of utilizing the same to teach her son the best warrior skills. She completely became a puppet which dances accordingly to the whims and fancy of her husband. The one who fought for the benefit of a orphan child and a small girl forgot to save her son from the clutches of the witch. Instead she walked her son directly to the den of a witch while she became an object of entertainment to her husband. I can't digest these two people whom the CVs are throwing on us.

Thank you Maddy and thanks to all my friends who agreed with my views earlier and also disagreed with my views ad that was such an healthy atmosphere and plot form. Hope we meet again sometime, somewhere. Goodnight friends and Happy New year.😊😊

Jaya 🤗 so wonderful to read your post, bang on as usual. After reading the posts on this thread, I realized how much I miss the fun on JA forum. The discussion on everything from plots to costumes and tracks to spoilers. Some members calling Zee for any info and then sharing eagerly, discussing everything threadbare and spend hours here!

It seems almost unreal that I was so involved with JA at one time - when today I absolutely feel nothing for JA. I don't feel like watching even for Jodha Jalal. These writers have complete amnesia! They very conveniently forget stuff when it suits them. It was so silly to read that Jodha was shown opposing arms training for Salim, I would have thought she would be the one to want to teach him.

Like Radhika said Jodha has been turned into wall flower & Jalal? I don't know what cos the latest info of Jalal's shadi with jungli princess is shocking to say the least. Have these CVs forgotten this is about Akbar the Great and HK/MUZ!

Wish we can get together on some wonderful new serial forum soon.

So nice to your post after a long time. Your post made me think, surely there should be accountability, historical figures need to be treated with respect.

As for the mystery of the leap, to me it is crystal clear, political pressure was put on Ekta to cut short the serial otherwise why would anyone in their right mind pull the plug on a top rated show. I may remind you that the Jodha Akbar situation was extensively used in the UP election(in context of Love Jihad) and it became a political hot potato.

So, Ekta, to preserve her other business interests, switched on the self-destruct button on Jodha Akbar.

It happens, I have accepted it and moved on but I still like to come to the forum once in a while.

Hi Donjas, thanks. I think they should make it mandatory for historical serials to have say a body of 2-3 persons who should be experts on the subject. The PH should be made to get ok from them about the historical authenticity esp when it comes to important events. How can these writers just distribute Akbar-HK children to random begums like they were playing tick tac toe! Whoever took fancy make her a mother!

The big PH get away with showing anything without any accountability. Something needs to be done esp since nowadays a lot more historicals are being made.

I am not sure of the reason, but in that case they could have just ended the serial. Like MB just end JA after Salim birth saying they had a happy married life. I somehow think this will be very convenient reason for JA CVs to get away from any research, responsibility and accountability. All it could be instead is laziness to do any research, typical sbs sadistic plots and mundane tracks. Very easy for them to get away scot free putting blame on something that might not be true.

I have moved on from JA, cos could not bear to watch what they turned it into. Just keep track cos I come to forum to meet friends.

Preet such wonderful post. So true - even a simple eyelock of Parijat had more chemistry & talked more to us than so called passion & hot romance of other serials. I have never seen such chemistry between any other leads - atleast in the serials I have watched.

RT PS are just magical royal & they ooze chemistry.

You reminded me of this episode - Jalal is the marry Benzir the next day. It is at night and Jalal and Jodha both are looking at the moon sadly from their hojara windows. I think Bhavana had made a thread of just their expressions looking at the moon. Those pics were amazing just a few shots and they spoke volumes about their pain and misery and heartbreak. Their eyes spoke & those pics told a story.

I just wish JA had not ended on such bad notes for loyal fans. They made it impossible for us to continue watching, turned it that bad. Sadly even zee does not seem to care!
