What can be said about this show,?
It had a lot of potential to do well, but all the opportunities lost . !
Thanks to CV's and their NR's..!!

I am hoping for a remake some day. ;p

Hi Maddy thanks for giving me an opportunity to come on this (JA) forum and write something. I have totally stopped watching the show and even for the sake Paridhi & Rajat, it doesn't appeal to me to watch. And even though I come on IF, I try to avoid this forum because, it gives a sense of void to see nothing good in the serial and I can't imagine watching a lifeless JA. It hurts to remember a dead person and it is same feeling with JA for me. There is nothing left for us to dissect from their eyes, unsaid words, their distancing and their feelings for each other even when they were miles apart. Now I can't see that unquestioned togetherness even when they stay together. This Jalal whom we loved and nurtured didn't learn respect and trust his soul-mate (is what we thought) Jodha even after their kids were ready to learn warfare. The fierce Jodha whom we loved for her self respect and her dignity completely forgot the ABCD of that immediately after she thought she fell in loved with her husband. The great warrior didn't even thought of utilizing the same to teach her son the best warrior skills. She completely became a puppet which dances accordingly to the whims and fancy of her husband. The one who fought for the benefit of a orphan child and a small girl forgot to save her son from the clutches of the witch. Instead she walked her son directly to the den of a witch while she became an object of entertainment to her husband. I can't digest these two people whom the CVs are throwing on us.

Thank you Maddy and thanks to all my friends who agreed with my views earlier and also disagreed with my views ad that was such an healthy atmosphere and plot form. Hope we meet again sometime, somewhere. Goodnight friends and Happy New year.😊😊

Hi Maddy,

So nice to your post after a long time. Your post made me think, surely there should be accountability, historical figures need to be treated with respect.

As for the mystery of the leap, to me it is crystal clear, political pressure was put on Ekta to cut short the serial otherwise why would anyone in their right mind pull the plug on a top rated show. I may remind you that the Jodha Akbar situation was extensively used in the UP election(in context of Love Jihad) and it became a political hot potato.

So, Ekta, to preserve her other business interests, switched on the self-destruct button on Jodha Akbar.

It happens, I have accepted it and moved on but I still like to come to the forum once in a while.

jodha akbar parijat gave us alot and was always want us asking more of them

Parijat as akdha were so good that we love reading it that every word which there eyes said
ankhen bolti hai inki jiska har lafz hum samjhe

I don't know why what when the destruction happened and it was so evident with the quality of it getting down daily

kya din agaya hai amer beautiful palace now in a banjara tent house or rather I say north india shaadi ka tent
humare yahan aise hi hote hai

Today I am remembering the Sunday threads I used to make for months.
The vigorous heated involved discussions with friends here, the fights with those did not agree with, the many many friends I made here on the JA forum.
The eagerness to know even a hint of what will happen in JA.
The dissecting of every offscreen photo - from the number of costumes of Ben or Atifa - to the mark of wound on Jalal or Jodha's faces!!! 😆

I really used to love JA, I don't remember ever getting so involved with a serial as much. I spent hours on forum and enjoyed every bit of it. Today JA I loved is dead and buried - made me think about this entire serial making business - yes it just seems to be a business for makers of JA & Zee. It was an epic love story only for us viewers - it seems it was not even a matter of important signpost in their CVs for Zee & PH

Fortunately movies still remain a passion for some makers - yes a business but also an art form. When movies are made OWN money is put and only after its release all concerned know whether it is a success or a failure & if they are going to make a profit.
Unlike TV industry where probably in a month's time channel & PH know and after the initial investment - the advertisements revenue, the sponsors money - the people who watch the serial WE THE VIEWERS pay for the success of a serial by watching it. Why then our feedback is not of any importance to the channel or PH? What makes the writers so arrogant & rude about us viewers when they are making something with VIEWERS MONEY?

WHY then when there is a sensor board to keep a check on a film - there is not one for TV serials? Especially when PH & Channel use money made from viewers to make it?

When an historical serial is made - does using the NR word lets everybody go scot free from their responsibilities? From the Channel to PH to CVs writers - free from having to accord respect to the persons on whose lives they are earning their bread butter & Jam? To maintain a certain sense of dignity & in this case royalty intact? To stay TRUE to reality???

Should there be a committee of say 2-3 persons to pre-approve general tracks in a serial - when it involves historical figures? Should the use of NR in disclaimer give the liberty to writers to change historical facts?

When I started to watch JA - I thought it will run for years - here is an epic love story of two legendary much admired figures who had a successful life of 40 odd years together. Whose real lives were so event filled thrill a min that I would think if there is a story which SHOULD NEVER NEED A LEAP it was this one.

What made the channel, PH & CVs take leap after leap that killed JA? When I read some of the twits shared on forum here - of the writer/s - my mind truly boggles!

Imagine this scenario a Sachin - a Rahul - a Saurav - a Virat is about to walk out to bat in an imp match - before the match the interviewer asks them how do you hope to perform and a Sachin saying "do not keep any expectation from me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" I would imagine the player saying this would probably not even get to play a club match from BCCI & Selection committee!

I must say Zee & PH are very generous people - they do not seem much bothered when its writer/s tell the same thing to its viewers!
TRPs which were 10.something few months back are in dumps - but their does not seem to be any sense of accountability, responsibility - of trying to improve this sinking business on part of them. Instead these arrogant CVs tell viewers to watch without any expectations!!!
It is so easy to play around with someone else's money - when there is no sense of responsibility - no research - no accountability it seems! Cushy life!!! 😉

Which makes me wonder - JA is whose personal property? Not just the serial but the REAL ones? What made these writers treat Jodha Akbar like their personal property? To play around with history as per their whims to this shocking level? 😡🤢

If I or any of you readers were running a business & an employee told not to keep any expectations from him/her - I would imagine the person would be out of job in next 5 mins! Really PH & Zee are generous people!

If JA is getting some TRPs still - it is only cos of Paridhi & Rajat. They have made JA a cherished memory for me. The first year of JA was magic - RTPS are STILL MAGIC. Lots of love to them for the memories.
Guys hope you get some other big project worthy of you soon.

Viewers who do not know - (anybody feel free to correct me If this info is wrong) - it seems TRPs are counted at what viewers view in the FIRST & LAST 5 mins of a serial. This could be the reason JodhaJalal scenes are at the start & end of an episode & precap devoted to them! So the TRPs do not sink further - when viewers change channels when SA comes on screen - keep this in mind! 😉😆

These CVs do not have the guts to make SA under SA name - need the crutches of JA name & RTPS to sell their SA. Those who are giving them TRPs note how this TRP business works. Your feedback does not mean a thing to them - ONLY TRPs MATTER.

Best wishes to everybody on JA forum - this is most probably my last thread here. I have moved away from JA - now maybe even from the forum - there is nothing left in JA.

I just wish RTPS also move away from this SA. For me JA will always ONLY MEAN RTPS. Thank you both for the wonderful memories. Paridhi & Rajat you ARE MAGIC YOU ROCK. 👏

Maddi, Agree every world written, by you. In words, Little pain, i can also feel, How Much CV, ruined Our best show.

How Much we love this serial, i also think, this serial Life will be Long, But so soon, it is going where, No -Body can save this serial.

Yes PS, or RT, Alived the character of Jodha Akbar, we mostely read in History, about Akbar,

first Jodha Akbar Movie, Spaced in our Heart .Then this serial, created a Good level space in our Heart.

When serial was going, in Good Form, No need to Leap, No Need to Ruk More importance,

Audience are the, Main power of Serial, but they not understood Audience Feelings.

They selling SA, name of Jodha Akbar.or They not choosed, Good Characters, for, SA.

I have been a silent reader for quite some time. I tuned in to JA from January 2014. Got addicted to it by the February 7 show. My family was never used to me watching television and i thought inwas facing mid life crisis. Then i got introduced tonthe forum during Atifa track. Yoy guys have given me so much satisfaction in reading your analysis, dissection. this was AP Language at its best. then i got tunrd nto the fiction part. is there a way you guys can get hired as professional writers. if i had the money i would hire you all asvwriters and make JA all over again. some of the names whose writing i have enjoyed are Lashy, Divya, Maddy, Tahniat, Najima and Shyamala aunty. also enjoyed Abhay"s histirical blog. Its a fav on my ipad. Maybe some day i can meet you all and we can share the grief of having a good show with awesome actors just detroyed.

Unfortunately for viewers in US even though ee pay for Zee we cannot view the old episodes onnYou tube. i miss them so much. buth Thanks to you all, i believe my addiction was not out of place. there are many like you who would understand.

Your daily episode threads is how I sometimes keep track of what is happening in JA. Frankly nowadays even that curiosity is hardly there.

Susan kya kar diya JA ka ye logone? How can anybody trust these CVs now? We all who watched JA know this Amer track is just the carrot that is dangled in hope for viewers to get attached to SA characters - then they will go right back to haram & Jaan Begum glorification. 🤢

Using RTPS in first & last 5 mins in desperate hope to keep TRPs from sliding.

We have no option yaar they fund the show they can show anything like Jo running off with Khaiber, Akbar falling at muz feet to ask sorry, jhoru ka ghulam Akbar to ruq and jo both, salim hating his parents, anarkali hairdresser and man bai friend 😆 what a comedy nowadays JA is more laughter riot only and best part salim never want to be shahenshah 😲 he can atleast say I do not want shahenshah for next few years but no he loves to be commoner 😕

They made

Akbar Jhoru ka ghulam

Jo bashan queen who disobeys husband for everything

Salim nafarman baccha and dinking hafim from 8 years of age

Anarkali hair stylist (I had no idea such profession was there then)

Next what Man Bai - hafim addict and drunkard may be like in siyasat

Jagat Gosain- ruq part2 for sure(wonder how Salim shall accept another ruqaiah in life)

Nur Jahan- ruq part3 and maham part3(part2 is ruq)

No wonder Jehangir drank himself to death in real life with such moms and wives and add to that sons baying for throne its best to drown in wine and be in surreal world(guilt of his rebellion will be last thing I mind)

Wonder how Akbar managed without any addiction with many more wives, maham, ruq, salim, may be he was addicted to woman 😉 and married 15-16 year olds in 1599 etc at age of late 50s

I was reading the memories of Montessori he was a French priest who taught murad and salim bible and Christianity and Vincent Smith book and both say that Akbar had 3 useless sons all three drank a lot, it is scathing in its details of daniyal's addiction(eye account) and even murad's death mentioned. They mention salim survived only because he was of stronger make up. But all three drank equally and a lot at young ages of 20-25 only.

Recently my professor was taking up a class and he discussed human behaviour and family etc and he says the impact a child(son especially because father is role model for kid) has on seeing his father having many wives etc the examples and impact he mentioned it is mind blogging. I am wonder in 16th centuy too did all this matter because all of Akbar's sons drank themselves to death. Instead of exploring all these aspects these CVs only want saas-bahu dramas.

Its around teenage years a child starts becoming independent, confident to survive on own and starts questioning things around it. Salim, Murad, Daniyal both have reached that stage. This is when usually father-son conflict starts even in modern families. So will be interesting to see how Salim ques his father or how Akbar handles those highly cmplex ques(if they are ever asked) during anarkali stage

So glad to see a Sunday post after god knows how long. So happy to see your thread.This forum has definitely lost its charm after all the seasoned writers stopped posting, due to the sad state of whatever is left of the once Magnum Opus serial Jodha Akbar.

I miss how we used to discuss every episode. We used to scrutinize every move, come up with predictions based on dialogues and above all bonded with one another through these discussions. The forum became part of the Jodha Akbar experience, and I dearly miss every bit of it.

This being the first serial that many of us including myself got attached to, 8:oo Pm became an important part of my day as I waited to see what new twist would happen that episode. Starting off small, JA went huge, garnering high TRp's and a large fan base at a very young age. The cliched hate to love story -with a royal twist was what everyone was talking about, and i to became part of this huge show where all was smiles and happiness only for a while.

Whether it was the instant support they received, or the several alleged controversies the quality of the show began to decrease day by day. The slow tansititon downward began around the Benazir rack, and then it was all downhill. Maybe the fact that the TRP's remained stable despite the nonsense that was dished out to us, the CV's got this new found confidence to show anything and everything that they wished to.

To take up a historical serial was a very dicey game as along with this show comes the responsibility of giving justice to the historical figure being imitated. And in this whole endeavor the strong Akbar was shown in very questionable light with time. The character became very repetitive, only bound withing the walls of the harem and even when he was shown going to war- he was captured by his not so powerful nemesis. Giving stupid reasons for war's that altered history, and almost no thought behind Akbar making path breaking laws.

As for Mariam-Uz-Zamani, an enigmatic lady who was not known to the world clearly, until the relase of the movie Jodha AKbar. The CV's had an extremely important job of showing the truth about this not so famous yet game changing lady of the Mughal Court and they chose to fictionalize her illustious journey. Petty rifts that never existed between mother and son, and as a viewer to see the Vamp always getting away with evil, became unpalatable after a while.

Baseless rumors regarding SA, that cropped up about a year ago, ended up being true after all. A total of 22 years leap has been taken, and JJ are now shown as this old couple. My only question being- Why? Why this leap at all, to pursue a story that never existed and even if it did ended on such a bitter note. Why give up such a strong serial with such well established characters- all for a track that can't go on forever? Why give up on the pair that took the serial to its zenith of success??

My biggest take away from this serial- is two brilliant actors- Rajat Tokas and Paridhi SHarma. This serial has been about them more than anything else. Their acting was capable of moving people to tears or crack them up. We laughed with them, we cried with them and they never fail to deliver.. Even now a 2 minute scene of Akdha is able to stir up such excitement- all because of the most wonderful RTPS. They have been the pillars of support for this show, the CV's have used them to slingshot their new tracks, but we fans know their true value and will always wish the best for them.

I love Rajat and Paridhi, and i hope they get bigger, brighter and better offers in the near future. ❤️❤️❤️
