"hey...anybody's in?" asked a girl,dressed in her casual clothes, walking inside khan mansion, and the strange thing was that no one stopped her, she saluted the guard with her signature wink, picking up some roses from the vase, kept aside on the hall.

"here's some beautiful flowers for the best couple from my side" she gave the flowers to hamida and humayun, which they accepted after hugging her up.

"before you asks me how i am, first tell me where's your stupid son, i mean he is joining office again...and haven't told me!!" she spoke taking blessings of the old couple.

"natsha...come on...sorry yrr" apologised jalal and hugged her up, his best buddy, and the most favourite of his family.

"missed you,but now i am hell angry on you...how dare you...i mean you are joining the company again...and haven't told me! thank god...i saw your interview..nhi toh...tu toh maar khata" saying this, she hugged him up, and that time jodha entered with veer...the rituals were done. But the thing that made her a little shock was seeing her husband hugging some girl, that too, unknown to her. She called out his name "jalal".

"jodha..meet her, she is Natasha" said jalal, introducing jodha, while the new wife was more confused, she passed a smile to her..."Natasha...whose she now?" she asked herself.

"you got married...oh my god...how many things you haven't told me?" asked Natasha as she hugged jodha...but then she whacked jalal's arm for not telling her about the changes in his life.

"i...actually was about to..." jalal left his sentence and then looked at natasha. "congrats yrr...pretty girl" whispered natasha in his ears, as she pulled him for another hug..."third one" muttered jodha angrily as she was counting the number of hugs.

"oh teri! veer" she almost screamed looking at veer there, her two best friends were there, that was something she haven't imagined.

"yeahh...rehne de...btw begum she is natasha...our friend and yeah! the girl who had the longest relation of 4 months with your husband" laughed veer "kuch bhi...haan?" said natasha hitting him lightly, jodha who was a silent spectator, was not liking this new member, everything was going good, but like god had something else stored for her...she cursed natasha for no valid reason.

"so how was your trip to london...i hope you would have spend some good time there" asked humayun, as everyone settled in their seats.

"yeah uncle...it was fine...i mean great...but from tomorrow i promise that i will join office and will complete the pending projects as well." said natasha to which everyone smiled.

"you know jodha...natasha is working for our company from the last 2 years, and indeed she is perfect in her department, and you know, she has her own family business in london, but still she is working for us" praised humayun to which jodha smiled and looked at jalal who was signalling her to eat.

"bass uncle...rehne do...by the way..where the newly married are going for honeymoon"asked natasha

"not now..nutz, this wedding is a private affair and it will not be safe to go somewhere far" said veer to which everyone nodded, but again! jodha was confused, more disappointed.

"here's the sweet dish...have it?" asked hamida to which jodha looked at her jovially.

"itz yum...jodha...i mean you really are a good cook" said natasha, forwarding the plate to hamida, to which she smiled.

"acha hai naa, you know jalal!!...i added sugar in it...baaki maa ne kiya." spoke jodha, to which everyone chuckled, oh lord!! they thought that it was made by jodha, but poor girl is new to this cooking stuff after the biryani blunder.

"y...yeah..itz really good beta" said humayun as he too smiled, jodha looked at jalal...huh!! why everyone was laughing at her.

"haan toh i will learn cooking" muttered jodha...as she continued with her food.

"so...when you will come back home?" she glanced him, while having her food...while jalal looked at her...stunned, she wants him to go office, today!

"today? why he will go, no he will stay here, me and veer will handle all the work today!" continued Natasha as she wanted the newly married to share some quality time together, but to her bad luck, jodha was mad at her, who the hell was she to interfere in their matters, if it would be someone else, then she would have thought about it, but now she wanted jalal to go.

"noo...i mean what he will do at home, will he help maa in daily chores...no naa?" retorted jodha to which natasha smiled and hence, everyone agreed, while jalal was just looking at her.

"Are you serious...do you really want me to go today?" he looked at her, but it was just a reaction of her anger, insecurity and jealousy, jodha shook her head "but then we are also not going somewhere like bhai and moti, and you also can't go back and undo what i said" she told him disappointedly as she still tried to knot his tie "but we will go as soon as the case will solve, so let's don't ruin this moment with either of us regretting it" jalal pushed a lock of hair behind her ear and caressed her cheek, she looked at him with her hands still busy in placing the tie around his neck..."i have brought forms of some companies for your internship" he told her and all in sudden the tie around his neck tightened. "who told you to bring it... whenever i will feel to continue my studies i will do it then" as he stared in to her eyes, loosing the tie a little, he couldn't help but falling deeper under the spell she continued to weave around him.

"ahun...sorry!!" muttered Natasha as she came inside their room without knocking, jodha's mood again turned into a nasty one, but as she stared her from top to bottom, she was dressed quite professional.

"you are ready?" asked jalal, as jodha was still busy in knotting his tie, actually she was doing it for the first time, but know her practices become a little aggressive.

"yeah...i thought today i will join you, this company was empty without you...so wanted to be with you on your first day" Natasha said this as she walked towards them."May I?" she requested jodha, and showed her how to tie a tie, while the wife was still angry but more on jalal, firstly they were working in the same company and secondly he allowed her to tie his tie, it was her duty then why she was doing it?

"come soon, i am with veer" she left them alone, "i want to join your company" asked jodha as soon as she left, the sudden request or say it her decision made jalal to stare her for a minute, sometimes it's difficult to understand her.

"you are joking...right?" he asked her, as he glanced the mirror for the last time..."no...i am not joking, and you look better without it" she glared him unknotting his tie, in anger.

"all of sudden, you want to complete your internship, why?" he asked her, as he moved towards one of the drawers, taking out the internship forms, he had arranged. "i want to join your company, not other's" snapped jodha, as she threw the papers away. "noo!! it's not the correct time, i mean this marriage is just a secret, it's for your you...for us...understand jodha" he spoke to her, being a bit loud this time. "i don't care, i will not tell anyone about this relation of ours, i just want ..." before she could continue, jalal interrupted her "i am getting late, and yes! think about them" said jalal indicating towards the forms on the floor, kissing her forehead...he left from there. "I hate you dirty dog" screamed jodha, as she picked up the forms "i know" came jalal's voice making her more angry.

"papa!" jodha called humayun ,who was busy listening one of the old classic songs of his time, enjoying his retirement, having jalal back in company was truly an amazing feeling, now his job was done, he got his son back.

"yea...come beta" responded humayun as he picked out the largest orange from the bowl, peeling it in strips, then dividing it into separate segments, each segment is then peeled and freed of pips and threads till only the perfect globules of juice were left, and then putting one by one, to the edge of the plate.

"yes...beta anything special?" asked humayun, bringing back jodha from the staring session, she was literally shocked by the way he was peeling off the orange, with so much of perfection!! it was just an orange!!

"uhh...haan...actually dad, i want to join our company, i mean to complete my internship, i talked to jalal regarding this but he denied, i am promising you that i will keep our marriage a secret... i will do it...believe me" she completed her sentence and looked at humayun, she knew that jalal will not change his words but her father-in-law can do it, she glanced at him, he was thinking something, something deep!...one by one, he lifted the orange segments with the tips of his fingers and placed them in his mouth, he repeated the gesture, over and over. The finger bowl was placed before him, he dipped his fingers in and wiped them on the napkin, it was now clear...that her father-in-law was truly the 'weirdest' amongst the family.

"jodha!" called humayun, seeing her lost looking at the finger bowl. "y...yes papa" asked jodha as she again looked at him, gaining back her composure.

"You can go for the interview today, after 2 hours, veer or natasha would be taking the interviews of the new interns, and now it's up to you, i mean you have to pass the interview well...and if you did it, then the rest will be my department" as soon as he completed his sentence, jodha hugged him up, saying him thanks and left from there. "oh ho...now, how to tell this to jalal" the old man murmured to himself, and then again resumed his song.

"When jalal first failed his driver's test, he stood outside in the rain and yelled 'i hate you' to every car pass him" - Natasha Kapoor.

"Once at a signing, a blind girl told jalal that even though she can't see but he was beautiful for her, and that was the first time i saw jalal emotional" - another statement by Natasha Kapoor.

Jodha pouted angrily, as she searched about Natasha on google, but reading out her interviews, she noticed that her all statements were related to jalal, be his favourite colour, his car, his dream girl or their friendship.

"huh! what she thinks about herself" muttered jodha as she scrolled down the webpage, and looked for more interviews of her with jalal and veer.

Interviewer - 'soo...miss natsha, what was the last movie that you cried about?'

Jalal - 'yea...i know it was finding nemo, when he's lost. Which is about 70% of the movie'

Natasha (laughingly) - 'hey noo...he is lying'

"huh!! that day, he spoke so rudely to the interviewers and with her, dekho how happily he is answering, bada aaya, finding nemo...i know" mimicked jodha irritatedly as she read the interviews of them, she deleted Natasha's and veer's name and then searched for jalal.

"I don't want a complicated girl, i want a simple bride, that will lie down under the stars with me" she smiled reading this statement of his which he gave a few days back,awww....this one sentence and her anger melted.

"begum sahiba...what are you doing, time to go now, you want to be late for your interview" said mirza, informing jodha, as she switched the laptop off, and went with him.

I hope it was good, i am a little afraid of the reviews 😆 This was the most difficult chapter of UL so far, i mean i really worked hard for this one, but still it's upto you, i mean i hope you would have liked it

And how to miss preet dii, for proof reading the first half chapter, i really troubled her a lot, thnx for it dii😆
