Chapter 16
Shlok gently patted her cheek as he called her name, trying to wake her up. She was still sleeping on his lap, he didn't want to wake her but the situation demands it.
"Astha, wake up. Astha!"
She flickered her lashes then yawned and replied as she snuggled closer "Tsk. It's not even morning yet, let me sleep."
Shlok grinned and replied "I know I'm quite warm and comfortable bed but honey, a storm is coming you're not safe here. Wake up."
She yawned again and completely opened her eyes. Now she noticed the dark clouds, completely blocking the moon.
"Let me bring you down before it start raining."
She nodded and stood up and said embarrassingly "I'm sorry, you---"
"Don't apologize, honey. Now listen carefully, we have entered the Caribbean waters, by the looks of clouds and wind, storm will be terrible, make sure to put everything in the cabinet and lock it. Stay on the bed, hold it tightly, I don't want you rolling on the floor and hurting yourself. And also extinguish the lanterns and lock it properly except the one on table, it's already secured and lit. And the hammock, remove it and shove it in the cabinet as well, and what else, hmm, I think that's it. This is quite dangerous, so don't come out of the cabin until I ask you, I won't be there for you but I know you're brave so take care of yourself. You understand?"
She grinned and replied "Aye, Captain!"
Shlok smiled and held her arms then wrapped it around his neck, he slid his arm against her upper thigh, close to her buttocks and lifted her.
"Let's go!"

Astha can feel her heart drumming on her ears, he told her the storm was dangerous, but she never expected it was terribly dangerous. The ship was moving violently against the waves, she had been clutching the bed post tightly ever since the ship went rolling and dipping, that had been several hours ago. It must be already mid morning, although she can't be sure with dark clouds and solid sheet of rain on the window. She was glad that the lantern on his table was lit and tightly secured or she would've died with darkness around her. She stared at few things that hadn't been nailed rolling back and forth on the floor, there was one horrifying moment when things rolled half way up the wall, the ship horizontally dipped as it rode one huge wave. This is her first encounter with storm and she doesn't know what she'll do, she felt like crying, she's scared, she's hungry, her body aching with all the tossing and turning on the bed. She wished Shlok was here, she wondered how he's doing in this terrible storm but then again he's the captain, he has the biggest responsibility, he had much experience and know what to do in this situation, still she prayed for his safety.
A cold blast of wind and rain entered the cabin along with Shlok, he had shoved the door hard enough to get it close and bolt it. He leaned against it and closed his eyes, before locating his eyes on her. He took slow steps towards her to prevent himself from falling, he was utterly drenched, he looked tired and worn out after spending hours in the downpour.
"Are you alright, honey?" He asked as he stepped beside the bed.
"No! I'm scared, hungry and my body hurts, I'm not alright!" She said as she removed her grip on the bed post and sat up.
"I know it's your first time and it's hard for you but don't worry, the storm will be over within few hours, perhaps before evening. " He said as he gently caressed her head.
"I thought you won't come until the storm was over."
"If I didn't have anyone to take care of, I wouldn't have come into the cabin. I thought you might be hungry so I brought some food, it's cold though, leftovers from dinner, the galley is closed for the duration, so we don't have choice. But after the storm we're going to celebrate." He said as he put one sausage in her mouth.
"I didn't know storms could be terrible, I feel like my life is at stake here."
"There are more worst than this one, but don't worry I won't let anything happen to you."
She looked up at him, how caring and nice can he be, he brought her food, inspite of the nasty weather and tired body and he's even willing to protect her, without considering his own life.
"Don't look at me like that, I may end up kissing you." He said with a grin on his lips.
She blushed and was about say something, but stopped at the knock on the door
"Captain! Sir Anshul is calling for you urgently!" Someone shouted from behind the door.
Shlok sighed and put the rest of sausages on her lap.
"Call of duty. Eat and worry not, darlin', I'll fight the storm for you." He said as he gently tapped his finger on her nose then left the cabin.

The storm had passed within evening just as he predicted, leaving only gentle rainpour that didn't even last longer. There were only minor damages on the ship, the crew took care of it in no time, now everybody was celebrating, even she drank brandy, now she was feeling a bit light and bold, actually not so bold.
She bit her lower lip as she clutched the robe, her hair loose, she is nervous, she couldn't get to take another step. She was standing behind the screen, on the other side he was taking bath, no, he is just relaxing there in warm water with his eyes closed, the last time she peeked in. He asked her to leave the cabin if she want otherwise he don't have any problem since she already saw him naked more than often. That was quite embarrasing remark, even though she knew he was merely teasing her.
Astha, be brave! Come on! It's not like you never did it before!She thought about it over and over again, she can't deny now nor can she suppress her feeling. She is in love with him! He is everything she can ask for, he's handsome, divinely handsome with strong body, gentle and caring, kind-hearted, though a bit rogue and the best part is he want her. The only problem is he's a rake, but she will make him love her too, only her, after all he does want her. All she have to do is continue where they had stopped, he is bound by his promise, he said she only need ask and he'll oblige. But she can't get the courage to ask him, she had been standing behind the screen for long moments, wearing only his robe, debating with herself to proceed or let him make the move, if he will make one.
What are you afraid of? It's not like it's your first time!

"You want something? You don't seem to find your tongue ever since you stood behind the screen and it's been for a while."
How did he know? Did he notice her peeking? She blushed, if he did then what would he think of her?

"Yes! I mean..I..want..I thought..I..uhm.."
"Honey, I can't understand."
"Let me think, bloody giant!" She snapped but then quickly added "Oh! I'm sorry, I didn't me---"
She blinked then blinked, when did he came out of the tub and stood in front of her stark naked and devilishly handsome.
He was as shocked as she was, "You? You're wearing just a robe?!"
She came back to reality and shut her eyes, "You shouldn't have come naked!"
He chuckled "As if you haven't seen it already, you even had the pleasure to touch it."
She blushed furiously remembering their lovemaking.
"Besides, you are as naked as I am." He said in a husky murmur as he lightly brushed his index finger from the nape of her neck going down to her slightly revealed cleavage.
"Care to join me in bath, little one?" He asked softly as he gave a gentle tug on the rope of her robe and pulled her closer.
She opened her eyes and gazed in his dark brown eyes filled with passion and desire.
"I will, if you promise to make love with me." She replied boldly.
There! She said it!
He gaped at her in disbelief, before he took her lips in his own, he crushed her in his arms as he deepened the kiss. The robe slid from her shoulders in no time, his eyes moved all over her body gradually.
"Ever tried lovemaking while bathing, if didn't you're about to witness that pleasure." He said and lifted her in his arms and brought her in the tub. The water was warm but both were much warmer than the water, if they stay longer than water would probably boil. He leaned against the edge of the tub as she sat on his lap, facing her back. He removed her hair from her back as he pressed his lips on her shoulder line, sucking the warm water. She tilted her head back and moaned with pleasure as his one hand clamped her breast and at the same time, a single finger slid inside her. She could feel his hardness against her buttocks, that inflamed her ardor even more. He flipped her over and tenderly stroked her neck with his lips and kneaded her back cheeks with his hands.
