I think neither will die.

The issue was the implied suggestion by diehard Anshuman fans based on Shradda's tweet.

Paakhi is her own person.

She isn't anyone's Paakhi, at a point she may have considered herself Anshuman's Paakhi and then learnt to like Veer too after Anshuman left, but really what's happened and what she's taken from everything is the discovery of herself. She left Anshuman bearing in mind she still loved him, but she had to get away, and it was a good move for her because she realised her own worth.

When Anshuman died, she was forced into marrying Veer. Everything you could imagine, every possible bad happened to her, all the time, and she had to go with it. But she didn't lose herself along the way and she didn't belong to anyone, she just learnt to love again.

I still believe that with Anshuman, she built up an idea in her head and went with it, but then she actually fell in love with him and shit happened and hey, Anshuman died and everything was awful for a really long time. Veer was brought in to 'fill the gap' left behind by Anshuman. But she didn't need another man, she was perfectly capable and strong and could raise Ayaan on her own. With time, she just grew to accept Veer and respect him as a figure in her life. (and yes, I don't really follow the show anymore because the show has gone seriously downhill, and I am forever siding with Anshuman and Paakhi, but I still think Paakhi can do damn well fine on her own.

Who gives a damn about who she'll be with in 'heaven', she'll be with whoever she wants to be with really.
