Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi

Bollywood's comic actor Shakti Kapoor is almost set to hop, skip and jump for Star One's annual dance reality show Nach Baliye 3 (NB3). If all goes well, Shakti Kapoor and his better half Shivangi Kapoor will be in the senior-couple category of Nach Baliye 3. The first season had Sachin and Supriya Pilgaonkar while the second season had Ketki Dave and Rasik.

Apparently, the channel has approached Shakti Kapoor and his wife Shivangi to be a part of the show. And the actor is keen on taking up the show if his film dates do not clash with NB3 dates. This will be Shakti's second show on television after The Great Indian Laughter Challenge.

Shakti Kapoor, who was in Delhi, spoke to us from there, "I am not sure yet if I am doing Nach Baliye 3. We are not supposed to talk about the show. I am still deciding whether to take it up or not. I am in Delhi right now and I will figure out things once I am back. If my dates don't clash with my film schedules I will take it up. My wife is fine with taking part in the show."

Did he manage to catch up with the dance show in past two seasons? Adds Shakti, "I have seen Nach Baliye earlier and I think it is a very interesting show but it requires a lot of time so I will have to figure that out. Though I'm comfortable dancing before the camera, between the two of us, my wife is the best dancer and certainly a much better dancer than I am."

What is left to be seen is if the couple will dance its way into the viewers' hearts.

The actor is also excited about six of his films releasing soon besides a play titled Aasman Se Gir Ke Khajur Pe Atke with Padmini Kolhapure.

The annual dance reality show Nach Baliye 3 is likely to be launched in September end or the first week of October 2007.
