'More the merrier' seems to be the mantra in the crowded television awards scenario. The latest entrant is TV czarina Ekta Kapoor herself!
The soap queen is in the process of organising a television awards show and a formal announcement from her production house Balaji will be made shortly.
When asked Ekta admits, "Yes we are planning a TV awards gala. At the moment I don't know when it will be held. But we are definitely planning it."
Upbeat
Buzz about the Balaji awards has been doing the rounds since the past couple of days.
Though Ekta does not want to spill the beans yet, an onlooker adds, "Ekta is planning to launch her awards in December and has approached G S Entertainment to manage the show. Jeetendra is also extremely upbeat about the idea of having the awards."
The entry of Balaji in the small screen awards firmament is bound to raise curiosity. At most awards dos, Balaji shows and stars dominate the scene and often their no-show can mar the gala.
Interestingly, Vikas Kalantri along with telly actress Pooja Ghai, who floated their production house Gold Leaf Productions, are also organising an awards gala called the Gold Awards, it is slated to be held in Mauritius in September.
The duo has tied up with telly actor-turned producer Anuj Saxena's Maverick Productions.
