People really underestimate PC power as an actress and as a star ..
While her contemporaries were Choosing movies with Khans, Hritiks, Akshay and Ajay which was enough to guarantee +100 Cr, Priyanka was choosing scripts and taking risk , she might have failed but at least she is will be remembered as a great performer..
IF Priyana wanted, she could have done what Kat and Kareena were doing .. Choosing the easy way of BO success..

I hope MK become hit for Priyanka sake.. and I think it will..

This movie was not an entire failure or made Mary Kom look bad.

Just did not do as well at the box office because it's still a very new story and concept.

I honestly don't think this film is a failure. It could have been a film that had bad acting on Priyankas part.

But she has done justice to the role.

Hopefully this opens the door on more movies about unknown sporting heroes whether female or male.

That's called starpower! When a star makes a bad movie Hit solely with their presence only. Jai Ho was a pathetic movie, still it made 100crs.

Ragini MMS 2 was the same old gisapita predictable horror movie with NO star, not a single except Sunny Leone. Still it became a CLEAN HIT! That's what you call ''starpower'' and Leone has it. Fans will go berserk just to watch the star, not caring about however the story is.

So yeah, PC have the least starpower/BO pull among her contempories.(Not talking about her acting capabilities/talent/performance).

Actually the direction is to be blamed as well, the movie was poorly made with many unnecessary fictitious scenes and flaws. The director forgot this is a BIOGRAPHICAL movie.

Also the music was dull and the movie was very slow paced and boring. The Dirty Picture and Bhaag Mikha Bhaag are the best examples of how a Bio movie should be made.

the fact that priyanka chopra is talked about her movies/her PERFORMANCES proves that, indeed she has beaten some loud mouth so called heroines.

btw..somebody asked about her next movies. let me tell..she is doing leftovers of some big heroines. ddd and bajirao mastaani.

bhansali has hit jackpot, the ladies from his upcoming movie have just given super duper performances. what could he ask for. bring on BM..one of my most awaited!

'seriously i also like actors,, who experiment... and not just flwrpot roles..and masala movies to attain top tag.

PC acting portfolio is the most diverse one...i think only thing left now is horror
