What a turnaround! JodhaAkbar is now No.1 in TRPs šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘

(this is based on last week's TRPs end of Atifa track) when viewers realized Jalal loves only Jodha! 😃😃😃😃😃

I wished we get to No.1 last week, now wish we remain there always šŸ‘šŸ¼

Rajat and Paridhi - you are PURE MAGIC! āļøāļøāļøāļøāļøāļø āļøā¤ļø

It was Jalal's week and Rajat rocked. Paridhi was just sooo fabulous in Friday's episode. ā¤ļø

Going to miss Chetan Hansraj and Lokendra Rajawat. I will be honest in saying I wish I sooon get a chance to "not miss" Ashwini from JA! Just simply can't stand MA anymore.

Jalal has enjoyed the Badshahat with supreme arrogance, it was his by right and legacy of his beloved father. Still he never let the power blind him to not care about those close to him. Since he became Shehenshah at age 13 BK, MA, Ruk these are his loved ones, part of his growing up. It was not just his empire, it was theirs.

He never went against them, so why did BK, MA? This is what Jalal agonized over near taraju. He had to act against Adham Khan, why didn't MA understand this? He never wanted to color his hands with his blood, he did not enjoy being driven to this state, did he have a choice? Of course not, as a Shehenshah he can't let his loyalists murdered just for being loyal to him.

However, the person grieving in DEK was not Shehenshah but Jalal, not for his Vazir but for his Ataliq. The loss to Shehenshah was great of a loyal trusted Vazir but his agony was for losing his Ataliq, a man he could trust totally, who treated him like a son and till his last breath stayed loyal and protected him. Did Adga Khan have to lose his life because of his takht?

The DEK scene was his bewilderment at the extreme hatred he faced from the one he loved and trusted totally. What did HE do wrong ever to MA? Did he not worship his Badi Ammi always, put her on such a pedestal that his own mother never had? He believed she loved him, blindly believed everything she said. Gave her unimaginable power and position - so what made her hate him so much? That she can discuss so casually about killing him, like he meant nothing to her? It was agonizing that the woman he considered his mother could think nothing of killing him for the takht, that she could think nothing of cursing his unborn babies.

He enjoyed the Badshahat but it was never bigger to him than his loved ones, why then he is not above it for them?

Does he as a person means nothing? That they can pretend to love him only for his takht. His goodness, his loyalty, his love for MA meant nothing to her. That all he means to them is the takht a source of power and position they can get thru him. Does everybody behave fake with him?

How can his innocent babies be cursed even before they come into this world? Just because they are going to be the inheritors of the takht, without having taken a single breath, without their lives their actions even coming into being they are already cursed for the takht. Jalal just could not stand the agony of his most cherished wish his dreams his babies cursed before they even took a life - from the woman he considered his mother.

Jodha is the only one who could get through to the pain and fog of utter dejection surrounding Jalal. Jodha's words reached his soul. Jalal knows Jodha will stand between him and death for him. Jalal knows all his power, his takht, his empire meant nothing to Jodha, till he started to mean something to her. Jalal needed that affirmation of unconditional love for HIM not the Shehenshah. Jodha never told him he should not give up the takht. Jodha just told him their relationship is not based on his takht and she loves him, she will love him if he has the takht or not. Jalal knows every word Jodha uttered is coming from the heart and so his heart believes it. He gets the solace that among all the treachery and pretences and hatred around him, Jodha's love is one thing that is pure, selfless and PURELY for the man.

HB had once told Jalal, when he was so lonely - in rare confiding his feelings with his mother, he had told her he felt so alone, unhappy. Jalal's mother had told him that when he gets someone in his life who will love him unconditionally for himself, not for his being a Shehenshah. When he gets someone in whose arms he will feel protected, loved, feel safe, where he can be without any pretenses and share his utmost vulnerabilities and sleep peacefully - then he will lose his loneliness, he will be happy. Jalal might not even remember those words but that is what he felt in Jodha's arms. He felt protected, loved, safe and he slept peacefully.

Jodha's love for the man will give him the strength to go on. Burning the takht he cut the old ties that had set a way for him, it was not his set path, he had just followed it. Now he can be his own man, the arrogance will still be there but tempered with compassion and far more toughness. With Jodha by his side, he can face anything and like HB told him, he will never be lonely and he will find his happiness.

We want to watch every second of this journey with Jalal and Jodha. How CAN CVs EVER THINK of a leap? Ekta said this is her dream project, as you can see Ekta, viewers did not stop caring for JodhaAkbar - why it seems like YOU have? How can ANYBODY convince you that we don't want to watch it fully? If CVs think they can take a leap cos they don't know how to show this entire journey - maybe it is THEIR lack of creativity.

Please don't bring any leap - as you have seen we still love JodhaAkbar as much.

Today as the all mighty Sahansha stood numb infront of the Insaf Ka Tarazoo after loosing his very last connection with his childhood , recalling the poisonous words uttered by the lady who has raised him, who was once his mother, his Badi Ammi... Made him realise the heavy price he had to pay for being The SAHANSHA OF MUGHAL SULTANATE...

Unable to bear this he resorted to vigorous drinking to erase his pain in DEK.. The pain is choking him, the ghost of his past is haunting him, the fear of losing his children is disturbing him and he realised it was all because of thakt on which he sits everyday.. The reason for his suffering is this "Taakt"... His own people betrayed him to get this "Taakt " on which he sits and rules... His own people who was 'Aziz' to him told that they love him was actually pretending to be affectionate to fulfill their own ambition from the powers which are associated with "THE TAAKT, He lost all those whom he loved from his Khan Baba to his Atga Sahab because "THE Taakt".. He paid a heavy price throughout all this years to get this "Taakt " and to retain it... The price of being The SAHANSHA, The Price of being "Invincible", was the life and love of his near and dear ones... He realised that the root cause of all his agony and discontent was "Taakt Of Mughal Sultanate " so he decided to uproot that very cause and without even giving a second thought he burned "The Taakt " to end this agony once and for all...

While all these feelings were going on in his mind his Heart was engulfed and overwhelmed by the feeling of loneliness... This loneliness was killing him from inside and finally when Jodha came he brought out all of his agony, his aghast, his anger, his anguish, his pain, his frustration, his loneliness which he has been feeling all these years...

Jodha perfectly understood him and his needs... SHE understood that the only thing he needs was her love, her support, her warmth, her closeness... She knew that the only thing which can heal his aching heart was her love, the only thing that can remove his loneliness was her warmth, the only thing that can give him peace was her embrace... So she with all her love pulled him close and assured him and reminded him that their relationship is not because of his "Taakt" or "Taj"... She did not love him because he is The SAHANSHA... She loves Jalal the man and continue to do so till eternity... She will always be there for him and with him no matter how worst the situation may be... She will always be there with him even if their parents, friends and children leaves his side... His Jodha will forever be with him even after they have long left this materialistic world... By her words he found new hope and a new reason to survive and peacefully fell asleep as soon as she took him in her warm embrace.. He slept like a child in the arms of the person with whom he feels safe and protected and loved forgetting all his sufferings and worries... Today they merged into eachother in every way and became one entity

From Here begins a new phase a new journey with the hope of a better tomorrow where there will be so much love, respect and togetherness of a lifetime... From here begins the "EPIC LOVE STORY " which will be told and retold in every era to come... Life will take their test and that also the toughest one but with eachothers Saath they will not only withstand these tests but also pass with flying colours ... From today Jodha became Jalals shadow and in every sense his "Wali Nimat "

Their love and togetherness will rise as a sun which comes after a long dark night which will give warmth light, life and happiness to the entire Hindustan... And Hindustan will only keep thriving and prospering under their guardianship...

Today I found that Akbar And Marriam Uz Zamani about whom I have read in Abhay's post in Eakta's Jalal and Jodha.. Today it showed us the beginning of the The eternal and divine love which was there between Akbar and MUZ and will be there between them till the end of time... This is what I have always wanted to see in the show and I am glad that I am finally getting what I wanted...

What can be a greater sin than to curse a person who repeatedly stood up for you, who trusted you , loved you, respected you, who felt guilty even after dishing out a just punishment because the punished was your son.

Don't know if sin is greater than curse...but I do know god is greater than any sin, dua, or badua ... And he alone can decide who lives or dies, not mere mortals

Adham and MA... I don't feel sorry for them. Their doodh ka Karz dialogues are extremely annoying. She was his dai ( like jiji Anga) and was doing her duty by taking care of Jalal... Just like Jalal's bodyguards and soilders who exposed themselves to injuries and death to save Jalal but never asked for blood, skin, muscle or bone ka Karz. This thankless mother- son duo was so not worthy of the the VIP treatment they were given by Jalal ( and the CVs...even MA's exposure was glorified...she didn't want him dead...so that makes her human ????...what about the fact that she wanted a life worse than death for him and his loved ones? Angry

Most humans are known to have a multilayered personality. Good and evil exist within and beyond humanity. But we have the power to choose. MA also had this power. She chose greed and deceit over loyalty.

Adolf Hitler was known to be a vegetarian and an animal lover. He adored his German Shepard. Banned animal experiments. But had no issues with subjecting humans to unimaginable cruelty for medical experiments. Can we still call him a multilayered personality with issues?...I dont think so...he defines evil. Please read his autobiography Mein Kampf if you get a chance. Interesting.

I consider MA a borderline psychopath...But even psychopaths can be aware that their actions are wrong. They can also be occasionally bothered by their conscience. They use defence mechanisms to justify their thoughts, behavior and actions. MA knows that she is evil. She needs to tell herself that she is human...I think her "love" fr Jalal is nothing but an attempt to tell her conscience that she is right in doing what she is doing. It is easier for her to live with herself by thinking that she wants to spare the life of the child who loved her unconditionally.

Bottomline...if voluntary actions are evil...the person is evil...period. I will not give them any respect by calling them complex, layered or grey.

She killed his kids

She put his life in danger by allowing people like Sujamal and Nigar stay in the palace with easy access to him.

She planned to dethrone him...what would hv happened after that? Jalal would hv been killed by the new emperor or put in jail for the rest of his life.

I wont write about what she did to his loved ones...the list is too long.

No one does this to people they love.

She tries to fool her conscience by telling herself that she loves Jalal. This woman is not honest with anyone...including her own mind.

And, I am sure that she realizes that she would look very bad ( in the eyes of the Awam she was planning to rule) by ordering the assassination of someone who treated her like a mother.

Yes, she was shrewd. She played a gamble by protecting the heir to the throne. Later used it to her advantage. This does not make her great. It makes her an opportunist.

I just dont want her to hog the screen space. Have long self talks...or talk with Resham or Ruk taking up 15mins of screen time in each epi...She got her share of attention and glory. NOW LET HER GO.

Even after Adham had stabbed Atga with a vertical sword in the most macabre way - right in the middle of his solar plexus - to my utter amazement there was a wee bit of life left in Atga. Seeing Adham then running towards Jalal's hojra to kill Jalal, but getting delayed by the number of sipahis he had to annihilate on the way, Atga tried valiantly to stand up to reach Jalal's room himself.

But alas, he could barely move a step before he collapsed - in the arms of the khwaja sera supplier who had sprung to his help. "Tell Jalal he is in khatra from Adham who wants to kill him. Take the surang route to Jalal's room before Adham can reach there" Atga barely whispered to the khwaja sera supplier, before he gave up the ghost with Jalal's name on his lips and a prayer for God to save his King!

What a beautiful exposition of presence of mind in the fading moments of his life! Atga's loyalty to Jalal had withstood its final test and passed with flying colours. It was extremely fortuitous that someone like the khwaja sera supplier was to hand, because Atga could never have made it Jalal's hojra in his waning condition. But then "fortune favours the brave", even when they are at the mouth of death! Some good angel in the form of the khwaja sera supplier came to Atga's help and he was able to die the peaceful death of one who had done his duty to his King splendidly.

Even as his life got snuffed out he was praying to God for Jalal's safety and life. What a loss his passing was to Jalal ... even Jalal may never know the true depth of Atga's courage and sacrifice in the throes of his last breathing moments, as darkness enveloped his soul and carried it away. When people tell you later about someone's last heroic deed, it is often hard to feel its actual impact unless one has seen it with one's own eyes. Atga Khan, you were sensational! Your life was one long sacrifice for Jalal, but your end was the longest moment of all, when you dredged every inch of grit left in you to warn Jalal. What more could you have done? Go peacefully, dear man, for you did all you could have, and no regrets!

impiya

I loved the scene where Jalal came to Jodha's hojra- soaked in blood, looking flabbergasted, out of this world. I thought he was in his own world, completely oblivious to what was happening around him. He still remembered one who is closest to him and that person is his Jodha begum. I don't know what he wanted from Jodha; solace, love, comfort or some sort of assurance that what he did was right. He knows that Jodha is the person he can fall back on- he can trust completely that she will give her fair, unprejudiced, honest opinion that no one else dares to. Willingly or not Jodha gave exactly that. She was shocked, detested with that roop of Jalal, any sane person would be. She was not ready to hug him and say Darling!! You have done the right thing, don't worry- Let people say whatever they want to. I am with you!' If he went to any of his other begums- any other hojra of his harem, he would have easily got what he wanted because no one would have missed the opportunity to show their concern and love for the emperor .But Jodha did what came naturally to her. That is the beauty of their relationship that they can be themselves to each other without thinking much. Jalal was dejected to see that no doubt, but he understood. Jodha also realized the moment she saw him staring at the mirror and thought she should not leave him alone in that condition. From then on she accompanied him everywhere from hamam to Maham's hojra, She was always there by his side. I particularly liked her in the hamam scene. Yes she didn't join him immediately, didn't cheer him up with pep talk; instead she gave him the much needed space to vent out his frustration, his grief. I loved Jodha yesterday- she was calm, composed, understanding wife without being too forceful and overfriendly. I don't think she held Jalal responsible for anything, neither she was indifferent to his feelings. I am sure she will stand by him, share his grief and soothe him.

Not necessity, not desire - no, the love of power is the demon of men. Let them have everything - health, food, a place to live, entertainment - they are and remain unhappy and low-spirited; for the demon waits and waits and will be satisfied.

Friedrich Nietzsche

The tide is turning in Jalal's life. The past is ebbing away, the present is uncertain, and the future tentative.

He is in the throes of a moral crisis.

Yesterday when he saw himself for the first time in the mirror, all painted with blood, Jalal woke up from the numbness of not just that moment, but from the numbness of a lifetime, in which he had witnessed many a struggle for power and authority in Hindustan, symbolised by the Mughal throne.

Yesterday, he suddenly became aware that his hands were covered with blood, not just literally but also figuratively speaking. It was one of the most life-changing moments for Jalal. Like the moment that changed Ashoka forever after he witnessed the devastation he had caused to win Kalinga.

In an instant, he was filled with repugnance and self-loathing. He rushed to wash off that blood and with it the guilt that had lain hidden inside his heart for years - guilt associated with his struggle against his own family to retain the Mughal takht. When Jalal was trying to wash all that blood from his hands in the hamam and screaming his soul out for the latest person he had lost as the price for keeping the takht - for an instant, he reminded me of Lady Macbeth. His hands refused to stop scrubbing at the stubborn blood that seemed to drip from the wounds of all the people who had died so that Jalal could sit on the throne. I felt that his mind was continuously replaying his past and no amount of water was able to cleanse him of his guilt.

This internal struggle within himself spilled over into today's episode. After Mahamanga had cursed him to mourn for his kids as she mourned for her son, again the past started replaying in Jalal's mind. He couldn't fathom why, in spite of being the Shahenshah of Hindustan, he was doomed to remain alone and had to witness his loved ones departing and the ones who wanted to dethrone/kill him increasing around him.

Who knows what true loneliness is - not the conventional word but the naked terror?

Joseph Conrad

I feel anyone who is in some position of power or who wants to be in some position of power ought to see those moments (yesterday and today) wherein Jalal tried to expunge his innermost demons of guilt and fear in outbursts that seemed to tear his soul apart. He lamented the throne to which he was stuck for it had turned even his foster parents against him. It had divided his family and robbed him of the love of a family, the affection of friends, and the trust of comrades.

I had not been quite ready to accept Jalal as a throne-burning kind of person. But today, when he burnt the throne, it seemed the most natural thing in the world to do at the time. His extreme loneliness, the angst he felt in his heart, the struggle he was unable to resolve in his mind - between wanting to love and be loved and the realization that people loved his throne more than him and even those who he had regarded as his mothers would not think twice before killing him - every feeling arose slowly like smoke from burning cinders.

Here was a man who was crumbling in front of our eyes and clearly needed someone to bring back before he was annihilated by his own raw emotions.

I was spell-bound to watch Jalal today, expressing all his pent up grief and rage through his eyes initially and later through a very violent physical gesture.

Jodha the Matrix

Just as life is changing forever for Jalal, so too is it changing for Jodha. For the one without the other is nothing.

While Jalal had pursued and won Jodha for her beauty and grace, he was himself defeated by the purity of her soul and the nobility of her thoughts. More and more I see that he is no longer looking to just spend the night with her but every wakeful moment. For life is suddenly becoming extremely ugly and pushing him swiftly towards the gorge of wretchedness.

Jodha is to him like a mother who can kiss all his pain and anguish away with a gentle smile on her lips. Whether he was stirred by Adham's outburst in the DEK or deadened by his own uncontrollable emotions upon Atga's death, he sought her out to sooth his ravaged heart and offer solace to a mind struggling to resolve a myriad conflicting emotions.

Today, he was so lost in his own wretchedness that he felt as if he had to renounce his throne - the throne that had led him to lose the people closest to his heart in one way or the other. But he forgot one thing in his misery. That he is no longer alone but has a passionate companion who would be by his side through fair weather and foul. Today I shudder to even call her his shadow because even a shadow leaves one in times of darkness. But today Jodha herself told Jalal that she would never leave him even if everyone else did or he no longer remained a king.

What can I call her? She is really the womb who holds Jalal close within her and doesn't let anything that can hurt him get to him. She is like the sepals that hold a fledgling bud inside their protective arms till it is ready to bloom forth.

Today, I saw two sides to her - and both sides showed her immense love for Jalal and her wish to protect him from the evil around us.

The first time, she was able to calm a Jalal shaking with venomous hatred for the throne that had split his family and made him lose some of his closest associates.

The second time, she went to meet Maham and inquire from her the reasons for her curse. She was no longer cowering in front of Maham, but a completely confident woman who knew her husband needed her more than she needed herself. Who knew that she couldn't let the Mughal sultanat die with Jalal.

To me, both the scenes were beautiful. If she was like Mother earth in one and able to calm down the struggling-with-emotions Jalal; then she was protective of him and their love in the other scene. This protective side of her came to the fore yesterday also when she uttered that beautiful shloka to spread the sheath of her goodness over him like an umbrella and guard him from the rain of sorrow that threatened to drown his soul in it.

I had felt that may be the CVs were not up to it to show anything so beautiful. How wrong I was! So far, at least, the way JJ are being shown to discover each other's soul and essence through shared grief and experiences, the track is absolutely stunning.

Maddy,

Beautiful post and beautiful collections...
I want to say something more...
We all are humans and Emotions are Part of our Lives...

Same is the case with prince and same fora paupers...
I wanted to support my above statement from the REAL life of Akbar where he was taken aback, and wanted to renounce this World. ( It is said.) But, i am not mentioning HISTORY here.. ;p

So, Friday's Episode was on similar Lines...There are times when we find ourselves dilapidated between extremes of our emotions...You can not control yourself always...There are times when you burst out...There are times when you can not restrain yourself further...No matter you are Shahenshah or you are a pauper...It happens with all...Akbar cried bitterly in court at the death of Abul Fazl...Same thing happened at the death of Faizi (brother of Abul Fazl) ... When Akbar brought his Chief Hakim - Ain Mulk to cure Faizi...But Faizi was dead by then...And, its recorded that Akbar ASKED THE DEAD Faizi to get up, for he(Akbar) has come ...These 2 are quite emotional moments...All i want to say is even the BEST MAN on this Earth can NOT escape his Emotions...Friday's episode was a "tumult" of EMotions..

I JUST want to say that, sometimes you lose "yourself" and in those moments you need someone to console you...Life is not a journey of walking alone...How can it be.?. Your shadow always remains with you...Jalal was broken on Friday...He was emotionally vulnerable...A young man of 22...who had seen nothing but HIS own people turning against him...And, Friday was a moment to burst out...It was the time for Jodha to stand up for him...I think that episode was a watershed moment...for it brought the essence of Husband - Wife relationship...Isn't this why we call a wife as "Ardhangini" - which means the " other half " ...????... I can not tell you, how much i loved that scene... The Story REALLY LOOKED Like Jodha - Akbar ..!!!!... Emotions were displayed with royalty...

Maddy, I always look forward for this thread of yours😃. Because I get to read many beautiful posts here, just in case if I have missed any.šŸ˜‰
If I am enlightened with such exquisite line of thoughts and views, for sure SUNDAY wouldn't be a LAZUNDAY (Lazy+ Sunday)šŸ˜†
Thanks for this thread...āļø

Beautiful post dear.šŸ‘
I am trying to put forth my views here, hope you like it😊

"Et tu, Brute?"

William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

As soon I start thinking about this whole betrayal-losing loved ones, this is the first quote, that comes into my mind. Brutus knew Caesar was changing. Power corrupts. What happened after there is immaterial here.Let us consider only the betrayal issue herešŸ˜‰

"The worst pain in the world goes beyond the physical. Even further beyond any other emotional pain one can feel. It is the betrayal of loved ones."

Jalal was traumatised after losing his Ataliq. His DIL had already been bleeding with the pain due to the wounds which were made by his own KITH and KIN. In the THIRST OF POWER,they have mercilessly stabbed his DIL with their DAGGERS OF BETRAYAL and VENGEANCE.

Jaise paani aur tamannaon ki taseer ek si hoti hai.

As you all know that the desire of power can stoop a person to any extent. It weakens the THINKING CAPABILITIES, it degrades your CHARACTER,and finally closes all the doors to one's brain, through which one is able to judge the DIFFERENCE between GOOD and BAD.

Power is always dangerous.Power attracts the best and corrupts the worst.

This is the same in the case of Jalal, his APNE had become his FOES due to this POWER,AUTHORITY, the TAKHT.

Somehow, somewhere I personally feel that Jalal must have felt like this--

"It was a mistake," you said. But the cruel thing was, it felt like the mistake was mine, for trusting you."

Jalal has REMAKED himself,he started doing AWAAM's welfare,he started making place in PRAJA's hearts as he had understood that--

Hukumat is of two kinds. One is obtained by the fear of punishment and the other by acts of love and welfare. Hukumat based on love is a thousand times more effective and permanent then the one derived from fear of punishment.

I can very well understand a person's situation, where he was deprived of his beautiful childhood. He had to lead his childhood, alone, dwelling like Nomads. He was forced to take up the responsibilities of the Shehenshah at a tender age, in that age where he has to cherish and enjoy his life to the fullest extent. He then tries to find LOVE, wants to be PAMPERED, wants someone to be SAHARA with whom he can share all his HAPPINESS AND SORROW. He had got them, who were both his USTAD and CLOSE TO HEART. He felt FORTUNATE to have BOTH Bairam Khan and Maham Anga as His Khan Baba and Badi Ammi, his guardians and LOYAL tutors.

But as Radhika said, in her post-

Not necessity, not desire - no, the love of power is the demon of men. Let them have everything - health, food, a place to live, entertainment - they are and remain unhappy and low-spirited: for the demon waits and waits and will be satisfied.

UNFORTUNATELY, they were the ones who had hurt him the MOST.😭

Love is a force more formidable than any other. It is invisible - it cannot be seen or measured, yet it is powerful enough to transform you in a moment, and offer you more joy than any material possession could.

But I am GLAD that in these situations, Jodha has given the MOST BEAUTIFUL ASSURANCE to Jalal, hence becoming his STRENGTH.I just loved the way how Jalal found SOLACE near Jodha.

Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage.

I would just like to conclude my post, saying that no matter what, and however may be the situations,I am sure that this ROYAL COUPLE would successfully face them and get through them TOGETHER😳

In terms of quality of episodes, this week of a Jodha Akbar has been the best so far. The Vishkanya revealing week comes close, but this week is better because it is mostly based on history.

The acting of Rajat has been on another plane, the depth of emotions he portrayed is unmatched in any TV show I have ever watched. Even Paridhi got her chance to shine in Friday's episode. Chetan was impeccable as the jealous young man who loses his mind in a frenzy of anger.

And what about Maham? The deranged, psychotic woman she portrayed once again demonstrated her fine histrionics.

I am even willing to accept the curse bit. For me, a curse has no value because I don't believe in it. But 400 years back, curses and Jadu Tona were big things. After his birth, Akbar had his name changed repeatedly to ward off the evil eye.

Rightly or wrongly, the curse has introduced an element of dread to the proceeding. Dread is a very powerful emotion and makes for riveting drama. In the Khaiber track or Ateefa track, I didn't care much because the emotional content was low. I mostly took in the ridiculousness of it all.

But now, it is powerful stuff. Whether we like the idea of curse of not, it will be difficult to skip episodes.

All in all, great work by the JA team to give us a spectacular week of episodes. It will be remembered.
