Thanks...to be honest, I am always flattered as well as embarrassed when Maddy includes one of my vent posts on her Sunday thread. Had I known in advance, I would hv spent more time and effort writing about my detailed analysis on MA's conscious and subconscious mind.

The curse part is interesting...not uncommon for psychopaths to exhibit this behavior. But how many people know this?... Therefore, I don't like the fact that the showmakers indirectly promoted superstition by showing something regressive like this. Several international studies show how popular movies/shows influence the mindset of general population. Not all viewers dismiss it as CVs imagination( thankfully most educated forum members can see through it)... Had the twins lived, showing the curse would have been seen as an outburst of a sick vengeful woman...but now, unfortunately, they have managed to glorify it. What message are they trying to send ? We shouldnt expect the govt to kill violent criminals fearing a curse from their mothers? Wonder where CVs get all this gyan from? Certainly not Geeta or Mahabharata. . I read someone compare this to Gandhari's curse...I disagree ... We are being unfair to Gandhari by comparing her to MA...Gandhari made a mistake by trusting her evil brother and paid a heavy price for that...but she wasnt evil like MA and never schemed to kill the pandavas...nor did she kill any of Pandavas innocent unborn kids for her selfish reasons. In a country where people still offer sacrifice of innocent humans and animals to appease the Gods( watch crime patrol if you don't believe me ) , CVs could certainly find a better way to glorify MA's character . Or find a different role to appease the actress they admire so much.

Thank you for writing a sensible and meaningful post Cleo. We are on the same page with regards to the curse . I have expressed similar views in Mansi's Friday post . The entire part upset me a great deal.I have since then put it behind me but was disgusted with the fact that in todays times , such a scene was hyped and shown . Maybe educated people will ignore such issues as rubbish , but there are several more who do get influenced by what they see and hear .Why not use the visual medium to convey something positive and progressive .
