Before Rahul could say or do anything, Aakash approached Aastha. "Aastha..." he called out and Aastha turned to face him. Rahul missed a couple of beats. "Aastha, please say 'no'... please say 'no'... please..." he kept murmering. He wanted to do something to stop Aakash from proposing Aastha, but what? He looked around, thinking, as his brains were working faster.

"What is it Aakash?" asked Aastha as she saw Aakash staring at her. Now Rahul could do nothing but wait and watch. Aakash moved closer to Aastha and said, "So sorry for the interruption, but I couldn't wait more..." Aastha looked at him in confusion as he took out a beautiful red rose from under his coat.

Rahul watched everything sadly. He turned his back to them as he wasn't really ready to witness Aakash proposing Aastha. He could only think of Shlok now... What would be Shlok's reaction after knowing this? Shlok would go mad if Aastha said 'yes' to Aakash...

"I love you!" Rahul heard Aakash say, "Would you like to be my life-partner?"

Rahul closed his eyes tightly hoping for a 'no' from Aastha. But Rahul's heart broke when he heard, "Oh my God! I can't believe it! Tell me this is not a dream! Oh my God!!"

The next moment, Rahul realised that it was not Aastha's voice. He turned at once to learn that Aakash had proposed Shruti and not Aastha...!! Rahul almost jumped in joy after knowing this. He was so happy, that he went and hugged Aakash. Everyone was happy for Aakash and Shruti as Shruti accepted the proposal happily. Rahul couldn't believe what he just saw. He pinched himself to ensure it was all real. He wanted to tell it to Shlok immediately but Mansi told him that Shlok had left the party. Aastha too left early and Rahul didn't get a chance to talk to her either. After the party, Rahul spoke to Aakash and all doubts were cleared. Both were pleasantly surprised to know how much Shlok and Aastha loved each other. Now it was time to bring them together.

After the party, Rahul went to Agnihotri Mansion and was told that Shlok had not reached home. Shlok had left the party but had not come home. Rahul knew Shlok very well. He told everything to everyone at Agnihotri mansion. They all discussed over the matter and came up with a plan to unite Shlok and Aastha. Aditi readily agreed to help. Infact, it was Aditi who came up with the idea.

Aastha was still asleep when her phone began ringing. It was 6:45 am. Aastha sleepily took her phone in her hand and was surprised to see "Rahul Sir calling...". She sat up in her bed and received the call. Rahul told her to be ready by 10 for a meeting. He told her to get dressed well as it was a very important meeting and they could not afford the meeting to go wrong. Before Aastha could say anything, Rahul disconnected the call saying he would be there by 10 to pick her up for the meeting. Aastha didn't know what to do. She didn't at all want to attend any meeting. And now she had resigned already, though Rahul didn't know. She decided to tell Rahul about her resignation. She dialled Rahul's number but it was busy. She tried again, but the same result. She had to wait for some time. She walked up and down her room restlessly to kill time. After about ten minutes, she called Rahul again. She was glad that the call connected this time. But even after many rings, Rahul didn't pick up. Aastha didn't know what to do now. Should she call Shlok to confirm about her resignation? No... how could she call Shlok after all that had happened? There was no chance her heart could bear more. She called Rahul again and again, and finally he picked up the call. But before Aastha could speak anything, Rahul said, "Good that you called Aastha! I had forgotten to tell you to carry along the file of our project for Mr. Gokhale and also the CD of the presentation... We would need that!"

"But Sir..."

"Don't ask anything right now Aastha, I am very busy. I will tell you all the details when we meet, okay! Be ready at ten. And remember, the success of this meeting depends on you...! Bye.." The call ended.

Aastha's eyes watered in helplessness and frustration. "I don't want to attend any meeting!!" she said as she threw her phone on the bed. "He didn't even listen to me! He knows nothing! I can't attend any meetings now! How will I tell Rahul Sir that I have resigned? He is not ready to listen to anything... I am given the responsibility of the meeting... I can't run away from my responsibility... Just because of my personal issues, I can't be the cause of any loss to the company however small it may be... And now, if I refuse to go for the meeting, it wouldn't be possible to make any other arrangemets. Okay fine, I will go... But this will be my last meeting! After the meeting I will tell Rahul Sir about my resignation. I just hope Shlok Sir will not be there with us... Bappa, help me!"

Aditi found Shlok standing by the window of his room. "Shlok? What are you doing here all alone?" asked Aditi. Shlok tried to show that he was fine, but Aditi didn't fail to notice his wet eyes. "Shlok, let's go out for breakfast!" said she in excitement.

Shlok was in no mood to entertain Aditi and her chatter. "Sorry Aditi, but I am feeling a little low... Not today yaar..." said Shlok in a dull voice.

"Please Shlok..." requested Aditi, "You said you don't want to marry me.. and I accepted your decision..." Shlok had not expected her to come to this topic. He was stunned. She further said, "This is my last wish yaar... please don't say 'no'... I will be leaving soon. Who knows when we will meet again?" Now how could Shlok refuse? He agreed to take her out for breakfast. The place was of her choice ofcourse! It was a resort - a very special one. Aditi had already booked it.

Aastha was sitting silently in the passenger seat, looking out from the window, as Rahul drove towards their meeting venue. He wanted to tell Aastha how much Shlok loved her, but he hesitated for some reason. He got a chance when Aastha asked him, "I heard about Shlok... Sir getting married to Aditi" she said controlling her tears and bearing a smile. Rahul could sense her difficulty in speaking about it. "So, how's the wedding preparation going on?" she asked.

Now this was the chance Rahul didn't want to miss. "I guess someone gave you the wrong information... I mean, incomplete information..." replied Rahul. Aastha gave him a confused look. He continued, "Actually there was some misunderstanding initially... But it was cleared eventually when Shlok refused to marry Aditi!"

This was shocking for Aastha. "What?!" she exclaimed, "Shlok refused Aditi's proposal?!!" Rahul nodded. "But why?!" asked Aastha not knowing whether to be happy or sad.

"Because he loves someone else..." replied Rahul. Aastha was surprised. She knew the person Shlok loved was her. But now she didn't want to misunderstand. She didn't want to be sure about what she thought or felt. Before Aastha could say anything, Rahul said, "But alas! Shlok thinks that girl loves someone else..." Rahul made a sad face.

"No no!!" said Aastha at once.

Rahul gave her a surprised look and asked, "You know her?"

Aastha calmed herself down and said, "No... I..I mean... Shlok should talk to her... He shouldn't assume things..." Aastha quickly looked out of the window and smiled as joy filled her heart.

Rahul smiled to himself seeing how much Aastha loved his buddy and how lucky Shlok was.

Aastha tried to control her joy telling herself not to assume Shlok loved her; she didn't want to have her broken heart crushed again...

Shlok and Aditi reached the resort. Aditi took him to the place which was booked by her. There was a single table at the center with a couple of chairs. It was surrounded be natural beauty of trees and lawn. Shlok went ahead to occupy a chair when Aditi hurried to stop him. She told him to sit on the other chair and she occupied her place so that she could keep an eye on the entrance to see the people coming in. Shlok was confused by her childish behaviour but he didn't mind. He was waiting for the waiter to come and take their order, and Aditi was waiting for someone to come.

Shlok was silent. Aditi knew exactly what she had to do. She began speaking about some general things. And while talking, Aditi casually said, "Yesterday you were not there Shlok... Rahul had come after the party at your office. He was telling that the party was awesome! And you know what?! Some Aakash in your company proposed a girl named Shruti in the party!! And she said 'yes'...!! So cute, isn't it?"

Shlok was shocked. "What?! What did you just say? Aakash proposed Shruti?" he asked in surprise.

"That's what Rahul said... What's there to be so shocked?" said Aditi.

Shlok didn't know what to say. He was very glad to know that there was nothing between Aakash and Aastha as he had thought. And he had misunderstood Aastha once again... He felt the urge to meet Aastha at once. He was about to tell Aditi that he wanted to go home. Just then Aditi saw someone at the entrance. She quickly stood up and excused herself saying, "Shlok, I will be back in a moment..." Shlok nodded assuming Aditi wanted to go to the washroom. He just sat in his place waiting impatiently for Aditi to return. He looked around, admiring the beauty of the place. But he felt as if something was missing... Actually, it wasn't 'something', it was 'someone'...

Aastha and Rahul had entered the resort. Rahul told Aastha to go to some place pointing in that direction, and said that he would join her after reporting at the reception. Aastha nodded but she found something weird. She went to the place where, Rahul had told, the other party would be waiting. She had expected two-three people waiting for them, but there was only one person sitting with his back a her. And as soon as she saw the person, she felt as if she knew him. She slowly walked towards him and her heart began beating faster. Hearing her footsteps, the person turned to see who it was and Aastha stood stunned at her place seeing Shlok in front of her...
