ok I meant to quote and then it got mixed up, my apols! Karan Bali had to die because had he lived and gone to jail, he would never have given Krishna a divorce. Even though she never said that she loved him and he knew it. So now, she is free from him and he is gone from their lives. A cleansing. Remember how Vedant had to marry his boss' wife to protect her but it was a fake marriage, and then after that he would be free to marry Veera when his name was cleared. I don't know about Karan's bravery I feel he wanted to haunt her one last time with his death, the sound of the shot, his blood, etc. If he couldn't have her, then he wouldn't give in without some retaliation. She was never his to lose really.
