Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel reunite as Udit Narayan and Madhur Bhandarkar join Gadar celebrations

The team of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha came together in Mumbai to celebrate 25 years of the film's release. The event was held at JW Marriott in Juhu and saw the presence of actors, filmmakers and industry members who gathered to mark the milestone of the 2001 blockbuster.

Leading the celebrations were Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, who played Tara Singh and Sakeena in the film. The duo participated in a cake cutting ceremony and interacted with guests at the event. Their reunion drew attention as the film completed a quarter century since its release.

Ameesha Patel arrived in a cream coloured outfit for the occasion. The actress has remained closely associated with the film, which continues to be remembered for its story, music and performances. Sunny Deol also made an appearance in a checked shirt, jeans and a cap. The actor greeted attendees and joined the celebrations alongside his co star.

Veteran singer Udit Narayan was among the notable guests present at the event. He has a strong connection with the film's soundtrack, having sung popular songs such as Udja Kale Kawan and Main Nikla Gaddi Leke. His presence added a musical touch to the evening dedicated to the film's legacy.

Actor Rajat Bedi was also spotted at the venue. Though he was not part of Gadar, he attended the celebration and posed for photographers. Rajat is known for his work in films including International Khiladi, Koi... Mil Gaya and Partner.

Filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar also attended the event. The National Award winning director is recognised for films such as Chandni Bar, Page 3, Corporate and Fashion. Television actor Gaurav Chopra was another guest at the celebration. He is known for projects such as Uttaran, Aghori and Bigg Boss.

Director Anil Sharma, who helmed Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, joined the cast and guests in marking the occasion. Sharma later directed Gadar 2, which achieved major commercial success. The evening served as a reunion for many associated with the film and highlighted its lasting place in Hindi cinema 25 years after its release.
