I watched 272 - 273 and have been meaning to mention a few moments that stood out for me.Khushi finally reconciles with devi maiyaa. Indu had wondered if she did officially patch up the day she was talking to Shivji and we got the answer now. That she had stopped talking to her after the hate marriage was a lovely character trait. Her devi maiyaa was her friend, confidant and being angry with her would be natural. She was not merely a revered goddess to turn to in times of need and pray to on marked occasions, instead Khushi had always treated her as someone closest to herself. So when she was heartbroken, to demand her DM to be guilty about the heartache that Khushi was going through, was very genuine.
And at this point in the show when she finally spoke to her it was to bring back the very man with whom when she was forced to marry she had decided to not talk to her DM. Also to me that solidifies the fact that his well being and return are paramount. Having him back safe and sound is what is Khushi's entire focus is now. In fact, without him breathing may soon be impossible too.
Though am not a fan of Sanaya's consistently forlorn phase I still love seeing her madly in love with Arnavji. The memory of the priceless few moments of respite that they shared together.. holding on to each other, perhaps not wanting to let go ever.. and the way he looked at her.. like she was all he could ever desire.. the way his look must have made her feel.. even the slightest glimpse of these memories, that she holds dear, make me happy. She understands how he felt that night, she did too. She misses him. She misses the man who loves her and whom she loves to distraction. Yes am happy.. she is in love.
The ploy of devi maiyya showing her the correct path was too cliche for me. Still there was one moment when she was Shyam's room and the phone rang when I literally held onto my breath. Shyam moved towards the room, Khushi did not hide, but chose to run out. I was certain that she would not be caught. Imagine my astonishment that yet again the villain caught the heroine and almost figured out that she was suspicious of him. She did handle the awkward encounter quite resourcefully this time. He was quite rude to her which has become his habit it seems these days. Again I wonder where is the man who actually liked Khushiji, even if he only lusted after her. One theory I have is that perhaps he realizes that she has no feelings for him and so no longer even tries.
Finally I liked how there was a stress on NK also not easily believing Khushi. He was genuinely trying to calm her down and hear her out yet he felt however well intentioned she could not possibly be right. Goes to show how devious Shyam had been in the past few years. ASR, naniji, NK..everyone was completely hoodwinked by the soft spoken man who treated the daughter of the house like a princess. It did not seem to matter that he had nowhere to take her, except for initial days when mami cracked a few jokes at his expense no one minded his unexplained random disappearances. As long as he brought back sweet words with him and their daughter was happy with him everyone thought the world of him. I did like NK having a tough time believing ill of his jeejaji. Seeing NKs reaction I connect it to everyone's reaction when the truth comes out.
NK is quite gullible and if he had a tough time believing Khushi whom he really genuinely likes and who was trying to give him details and proof, then later when ASR threw Shyam out there was hardly anything explained to the family. Obviously there would be confusion.
I Felt bad that Aakhash wasn't involved. I was watching the old scene where Aakash and NK plot how to visit Payal on new year and ASR sits close by with his laptop. That was such a fun scene. There could have been potential to bring back some of that refreshing craziness if Aakash, NK, mamiji, Khushi all helped out.
This is too long.. Well.. most importantly and perhaps the main thought was I missed the man very much.
