its allowed because abortion is a big sin and mostly people in pakistan are religious enough to refrain from it, maybe thats why doctors are comfortable revealing it. Plus girls are considered to be Allah ki rehmat...and the smoking warning can be seen in most dramas nowadays.

Hey! I guess youre new to pakistani dramas , thats why you arent aware of their style. Pakistani dramas air only once a week and end in maximum 30 episodes. Some even end in 16 episodes. So the stories are not dragged with needless twists.

Umm i wont go in order but i can answer you these questions. You see the wedding hall scene was hardly of ten minutes. Theit purpose was just to show the lead couple getting married. But yeah if it would have been an indian soap, the wedding hall scene itself would have been of 1 entire week , involving other twists. So yes thats why it was just a short scene so they didnt focus on sisters and relatives. You should have known Kashaf's father's personality dear . It is very obvious that he was least bothered about his daughters. And kept arguing with them, so if he was there at the engagement it didnt mean he would be there at the wedding too. He was a selfish father, who didnt care about his daughters at all. Um.. was Osama an important character? No. And as i said earlier, Pakistani serials only focus on the lives of male lead. Thats why they didnt end up showing his wedding. Showing his wedding would have been useless. Viewers are intereted in the married life of lead couple and not their friends. And your question when did Osama exactly tell them to come to his wedding. Im again saying, its not an indian soap. If it would have been an indian soap, they would have aired an enitre episode showing Osman inviting Zaroon and Kashaf for his wedding. And we wouldnt have enjoyed it, right? Showing everything is not necesary dear. We were conveyed the message that he invited them without wasting too many episodes, then there is no issue. Yes Rafia lived alone at the end. Of course a mother, like Rafia whose husband has left her, does live alone after getting her duaghters married. Getting your daughters married in a good household is parents' reposnibility and she fulfilled it. Hammad and Kashaf's father lived the way they used to, along with Kashafs step mom. They were a separate family, so of course their life continued to be the same. Ghazala and Junaid were broad minded and rich individuals. Im sure they reacted the same way every educated parent would at seeing their granddaughters. Again, pakistani dramas are not exaggerated so they didnt show us their reaction. We viewers are sensible enough to understand these little things on our own.

Yes, those were Karachi streets. And, about the same actrss playing two different roles at the same time... youre a new viewer thats why you found it odd. Here dramas end in maximum 25-30 episodes, so of course these actors pick one project after the other. In india, these soaps go on for years and years hence indian actors give all their time to one serial. But here an actor finishes the shoot of one serial within two months and they pick up new projects and many of their projects air in the same season just channels are different. We are used to it, some actors even appear in 3 to 4 serials at a time. And many times, the serials have same timings and different channels.

Learnt something new today. So, female foeticide's not really a problem in Pakistan, is it? That's good to hear. 😊

Was indeed surprised at Fawad's character lighting up so openly at many times in the serial. From the little research I've done, he seems to have done it in plenty of other serials as well.

So, no play that includes Fawad and Maya Ali together? On paper, it would make for very interesting viewing. More than OKB, it's Maya 😳 and the dadi who're the main reasons for AZ being a hit here.

Did a bit more of wiki'ing, and surprised at the number of times Mehreen Raheel (Asmara) has been paired with Fawad (albeit she doesn't get him in most of the serials)

Thanks to everyone who's contributed.

Doesn't that affect your perception of the character? You have an image of the actor and the character in mind, and it feels a bit stale seeing the same person portray characters across various channels. We do have this issue in India too, it's mostly Ekta who switches her actor from project to project, and personally speaking, I sometimes find it difficult to relate to the new character.

On a personal level, wouldn't you like to see fresh talent portraying characters, rather than having one person (however good one may be), being shown at the same time across multiple channels?

Unfortunately, that's not true. I think India and China are the only countries that have a complete ban on prenatal sex discerning ultrasounds. But Pakistan also has a serious problem with sex selective abortions and female infanticide despite religious beliefs regarding abortions. The sex ratio is severely skewed in both India and Pakistan.

ZGH did a good job showing the progressive changes in the current generation when it comes to differences between sons and daughters. Hope it's true in both countries and all over the world. :)

-She was abroad, he's probably their just wasn't focused on. 😆

2.) The scene with Zaroon at the masjid- what happened after Murtaza asked him to go first?
-I'm guessing he just observed the others and did his Wudu roughly. Or convinced Hammad to go first. :P

3.) What happened to Hammad and Murtaza at the end?
-Nothing special, they continued living their lives as they were shown.

4.) How did Ghazala and Junaid react to both their grand children being daughters?
-I don't think much of that was needed. By the end of the serial it is clear that they both have completely accepted Kashaf in their family..Ghazala was even shown getting worried when Kashaf didn't call and if Zaroon and Kashaf don't have a problem they shouldn't either. :-)

5.)Nothing shown of Osama's wedding? When he specifically told Kashaf that Zaroon and her were to come to the wedding.
-Not important, lol. They probably went, didn't need to be shown.

6.) Did Rafia live alone at the end? Would've loved to see how Zaroon and Kashaf managed grown up twin daughters!
-No, I'm pretty sure she moved in with Zaroon and Kashaf. There was a scene with Zaroon telling Kashaf to ask Rafia to come stay with them permanently. You can presume that happened. 😳

And the ps, I think so. Or like side by side homes. The homes can be smaller but there's not many buildings. There's some karai dars too. So like renting a room or two out for some extra income. :D

Agree to every word Iqra 🤗

ZGH is PERFECT the way it is!
