Karan in his TBIP interview stated that Jab We Met has been only lovestory in 2000s that has made a pivotal mark and has been able to captivate minds of people of all age group. Do you agree with him?

He also said that demand for Love Story is no more now because of changing times. Films like Maine Pyar Kiya (I am giving example) can't work now because such love story doesn't exist anymore, anywhere. Love story in today's time is more to do with internal trauma, infidelity and passion rather than sweet romance... Do you feel that demand for Love Story is slowly dying?

2000s means films releasing from 2000 - 2009

Barfi and Lootera don't qualify there

Jodha Akbar was more of periodic drama

Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein is a forgettable film, I am sure half of people don't know what is that film. It didn't really make a mark!

Well RHTDM is often ranked in most romantic film/song list around valentines. It's considered a cult now

What was RHTDM's verdict...its songs were chart busters and zara zara was a rage..still remembered as one of the most romantic songs ever

Don't agree with his first statement but this is hell true. Try making films like Vivah and HAHK in this generation, they are sure to fall flat and conclude disasters. Films no more work on the concept the boy meets girl, they fall in love, arranged marriage, movie running on desi shaadis blah blah. Over the time even love got complicated along with movies.

I totally disagree with him

Its just the treatment which is differently demanded

Consider the 2nd highest block buster of 2014 so far, 2 states..it was a love story but treated differently n worked so well

For me...yes... Jab We Met is the only remarkable love story which was able to capture people of all the ages...its a beautiful love story without any vulgarity in it... other than that there have been some good films..bt nothing can be compared to the sweetness and simplicity of JWM😳

But during time of its release, it didn't make a mark. Also it was average grosser
