Jab We Met is such a classic film. I wasn't expecting much from a Shahid film hence I delayed watching it for months but when I did see it was just AMAZING. It is undoubtedly the best film of the 2000's. When did 3I release? That's a classic as well but the romantic angle wasn't all that great.

I found Fanaa to be a pretty crappy film; I would rate it a 4 out of 10. The music got annoying at one point.

other than this so many romantic movies in this decade Tere naam, Dhadkan, RHTDM, Mohabbaten, KNPH, Namaste london etc

Love stories have had their time since late 80s, whole of 90s and much of 2000s. Same trend cannot go on forever. I am yet to watch 2 States but I am sure it is not just sweet romance. Aashiqui 2 is also darker with mental issues of ARK's character.

People are tired of sweet, pulp romance. They want something more. Hence other elements that Karan Johar is talking about and backdrop like Partition, terrorism, regional differences, mental health issues etc.

How can we forget Gangster by Anurag Basu?
The movie was a gem in terms of emotions. Gangster hit me 10 times harder than Jab we met.

For me its Socha Na Tha any freaking time,day,month,year!!!!

Kal Ho Na Ho is close 2nd favorite followed by JWM'

Saawariya and K3G makes to my list solely owing to the scintillating chemistry b/w the leads <3

I didnt dig the romance in BBB much...liked their fights more 😆

RHTDM is such an under-rated Love story & movie. It has sweet romance, Madhvan & Diya suited the role, and acted their part. Songs super hit even today. And then it also had comic scenes, funny moments. It was a PERFECT Rom-com. for 2000 movie list, its my most favorite.

JWM gets more recognition because it was a BO Hit too.

But BBB gets higher rank in my list than JWM. I just love that movie so much. 😃 a total new theme for romance. and so well executed. wedding planner. it had real feel. actors were bang on.

other than that..

Veer-Zaara

Jane tu ya Jane na.

Socha Na Tha

There was also one other under-rated Love story.. with Super Hit Songs.

Don't agree with him. What about great romantic films like Veer Zaara, Hum Tum, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Saathiya, Awarapan, Parineeta, Jodhaa Akhbar, Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Jannat, Band Baaja Baarat (and the list goes further on) ?? JWM is actually one of the weakest from the list..
