The latest season of dancing reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa has kick started with a bang. It has already gripped controversy with the exit of its host Dhrashti Dhami, and the entry of Manish Paul. But the show must go on, and this year too the makers have roped in a mix of contestants, spanning from Bollywood to cricket. While few have dancing experiences, we bring to you a list of those contestants who have an edge over others. They either come from a dancing background or have good experience at dancing reality shows
Kiku Sharda - Not to go by his size, Kiku Sharda is a fantastic dancer. The small screen actor has been showing off his dancing skills on the show Comedy Nights with Kapil in small bits. However in the past, Kiku has been a participant of another dancing reality show. Kiku Sharda participated with his wife on Nach Baliye. The duo was a popular pair among the judges and performed well on the show. Now, Kiku is making an entry in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. And the actor is banking on his humorous side to do the wonders. Kiku seems to be playing his popular character of Palak on this dancing reality show too. Kiku Sharda would surely rock with the audiences on the new show too.
Mouni Roy- Small screen actress Mouni Roy is a trained Kathak dancer. The small screen star, also won the Best dancer tag while being a participant on Zara Nachke Dikha. Mouni Roy, while on the show had said, "I think I am a better dancer than an actress. I love dancing and has always been my passions since childhood. I can sleep and eat dance, it is my life." Mouni has done numerous dancing acts at shows and is popular for her swift moves. Mouni Roy definitely makes for a difficult competitor to crack on the show.
S Sreesanth- Cricketer S Sreesanth has time and again proved his association with dancing. The cricketer danced his way to glory while hitting a super six in one of the matches. Back in 2008, S Sreesanth participated in a dance reality show Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena. There have been numerous accounts when S Sreesanth has shook a leg in front of his cricketing colleagues. Shah Rukh Khan had also once praised the cricketer, "Sreesanth is a fantastic dancer." For the passion of dancing and good experience in the past, S Sreesanth seems half prepared for the battle.
Shakti Mohan- Every year the makers of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa include a professional dancer. And this year it is Shakti Mohan. She has been a winner of another dancing reality show - Dance India Dance. Shakti Mohan also went on to do several item numbers in Bollywood movies. Being a trained dancer and a regular face on television, Shakti Mohan is going to create some stiff competition on the show.
Purab Kohli- This actor had once said that he has been a dancer as a child. The actor has also showcased his dancing skills well in a few of his releases. Purab tried a candid shot at dancing in Rock On!! Purab has come on board as a contestant on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and stands good chances of winning. The actor has the advantage of his experience in Bollywood. However it remains to see if this actor can actually bag the top honors considering the competition he will be facing from other pros in the contest.
