Leave it TM.

BV is for pendu audience now. Where women have to either accept rapist as husband or play bhabhi-devar with rapist. Carry trays, give justifications even for something as normal as periods, stay at home, learn to make achaar, listen every insult and bear abuse quietly, make their kids also silent punching bags. Women have to do ghar ke kaam even if they become sarpanch whereas men do only office work. Men never even take a glass of water for themselves and are served by women all the time.

I used to look down upon DABH. But I like it for living up to their promise and making Sandhya an IPS officer.

YRKKH is traditional but at least bahu is not treated like sh*t there.

I wonder what social work Anandi does. She is always at home.

She has been ruined to such an extent that she has no seriousness even towards her child and is shown pandering to ego of DB and rushing to Jetsar at even a murmur of DS.

This show is run by backward perverts. An MBA like Sanchi had nothing else to do except obsess over men.

Gauri was a hardworking, dedicated girl but they mangled her character.

BV is bakwas.

Earlier there was excuse of characters being villagers and illiterate. What is the excuse now?

They made a boy also a punching bag in chatra chaya of his mother who keeps taking BS herself. Amol will grow up to be a scaredy sissy if he does not learn anything from Shiv and internalises bakwas logic of Anandi.

Brilliant post! Bv is so selectively realistic. When it comes to women in politics it will be 100 pet cent realistic. When it comes to showing her as a superwoman in the kitchen and domestic matters, it will be totally unrealistic. I've never seen anyone like A in real life.

The point of my post was to draw attention to the number one show being able to show its female lead as an IPS. It is a huge commercial success which proves that family drama can indeed be shown with career goals for women. Sandhya is entangled in domestic matters but she has a damn good career. A is entangled in kitchen politics and that is where she remains.

@rohini
I know it is a myth that only kitchen drama works and no one wants to see working woman. DABH has proved it. In past success of shows like Udaan, Shanti, Rajni, Aurat, Astitva, Sanjivani also showed that audience was willing to watch women beyond household turf. Only BV is hell bent on showing stone age stuff.
