I suppose this is rather late of me to comment, but back when I first read this, I wasn't a member of IF and I had my exams. So here I am now. Because I loved this then and do still, I really wanted to comment :)

I loved reading this. The writing is simple and expressive, just the way I like it. And regardless of what happens, what keeps me hooked is your writing. Your portrayal of the characters is ah-mazing.

P.S: Will you be writing this further? I would love it if you do. And even if you don't (or can't), it's fine though. I love what I've read :)
